A trip Lorie Pester undertook with her father to try a wedding dress for the film at famous French wedding dress designer Max Chaoul's shop on the morning of Tuesday, April 20th 2010 was snapped by a paparazzi, which resulted in the French-language press widely reporting the fact that the singer/actress would be marrying her longtime boyfriend Garou by the end of the year. Ironically, Lorie and Garou actually broke up a few days later.

The project was initially announced in mid-July 2009. At that point it had neither a title nor a story, the idea was simply for TF1 to produce a new starring vehicle for Lorie Pester.

The film was originally set to be directed by Joyce Buñuel who co-wrote the screenplay and had previously launched Lorie Pester's acting career in De feu et de glace (2008).

Lorie Pester's character was called Stéphanie Lempereur in the first drafts of the script.

Alain Delon's involvement with the film was announced a day before shooting began.
