Ever since she was a young girl Komichi Akebi has wanted to attend the Robai Private Academy... because it is the only school in the area where the students wear sailor fukus. She applies and is accepted and her mother makes her a sailor uniform. On the first day she learns that the middle school girls no longer wear that uniform. She is given permission to wear it but it does mean she stands out from the other girls. Throughout the series she makes friends and gets involved in various activities.
This is one of those slice of life series that it is hard to express why it is so good. Most of the things that happen are ordinary and having finished it I'm hard pressed to recall details of many episodes. That might suggest that it is boring but it is far from that. The story is gentle with no material that could offend; the few scenes that could have lent themselves to fan service managed to avoid it... a good thing, especially given the characters' ages. The cast are likable with delightful character designs. The animation is very impressive; intertwined scenes in the final episode where we see Akebi performing a dance routine and playing in a volleyball match deserves particular mention as the music she dances to matches the sport scenes too. Overall I'd definitely recommend this to anime fans wanting something gentler than the standard fare.

Akebi Komichi is a country bumpkin. As the only student in her elementary school her upcoming transfer to the private, elitist Robai Academy is thrillingly exciting - mostly because her mother, who used to attend the same junior high, wore a beautiful sailor school uniform, that Komichi has been dreaming to wear herself. When the fateful day finally arrives, it turns out that she seems to be the only one wearing it... so she's bound to stand out from day one.
Where this setting would provide the perfect pivotal point for a story about mobbing, competition and elitism, "Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku" takes a different turn entirely. The slightly excentric but always cheerful, outgoing and optimistic protagonist could easily be ostracized - instead all of her classmates greet her with open arms, engage with her and let her bring out the best in them. Where common shows would build a dramatic story full of intrigue and betrayal, this show is full of supportive characters, friendliness and wholesome story arcs. Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku builds a beautiful world and shows us how wonderful life can be if people were just helpful, understanding and supportive towards each other. It's never overly dramatic and full of emotional story arcs.
A wonderful feelgood show for all ages. I liked it a lot.

This young studio was spun-off from A-1 Pictures and is overflowing with talent. They have great art design and fine animation. Their editing and acting are excellent. The shows Spy x Family, Horimiya, The Promised Neverland, Wonder Egg Priority, Bocchi the Rock, UniteUp, Shadows House, and My Dress Up Darling are just some of their current hits. You should consider trying everything from this studio, so lookup their web site. (It is in both English and Japanese.)
Akebi's Sailor Uniform is a feel-good slice-of-life story. The same genre as shows like Slow Loop and K-On! Some people won't like how this show radiates so much positive energy. However, I think after watching one of the many dark and violent animes, good mental health requires a bit of happiness, and this show is one way to get some.
Akebi has always wanted to attend her mother's school and wear a sailor uniform. But when she arrives, that uniform was retired long ago! She is nervous that she will be considered weird and be rejected. She tries to be friendly anyway, and is rewarded with lots of good experiences and new friends. In the series, Akebi's energy and encouragement influences everyone around her in positive ways.
The general theme is about personal growth, getting to know people, and making new friends. There is shyness, insecurity, and mistakes along the way, but if you keep trying, you can make good things happen.
The events in the series are often typical of anime in a school setting. However, the high quality of the show and its unique interpretations, make it an enjoyable experience.

That was a very high quality anime you could watch.
The details are awesome.
Must watch'.
The manga has been there for a long time now.
It's good to see that the anime has been started as of now.
Goodos to the animators. Did a great job here.
Waiting to watch the whole series.

If you like this yuri (?!)anime you must give her manga a look
I think this is my favorite manga though she is not perfect (given that she is still developing not written don't have a suitable yuri ending)
But when I feel down I always review akebi manga she can help me out make me calm down I think she have the good ones' amusing and positive features that's why she can get my strongly recommend Good ones deserve good points
I have seen many slow-paced anime including Mushishi (Perfct anime in my heart along with Tom and Jerry) Hakumei And Mikochi Girls' Last Tour but I still think this yuri anime's original manga is wanderful She give me the HAPPY days looking at girls' love and life (certainly she is not a love story I say love because I like yuri story hhhh)
Finally wish you a good look
If you feel good buy some manga book is also a good choice
News from Twitter @siiteiebahiro(author) the new 11th manga book will be sold in 17th March this year
Nice!

I expected to give this like a 7 based on the synopsis, but every week whenever an episode came out I found myself looking forward to it more and more. The characters, the environments, the sound design, the story, are all way better than I expected. Most of all, the visuals/animation are PHENOMENAL.
Every movement has such fluidity to it, the charatcers are all unique looking and it has a visible style that sets it apart from other similar anime, the backgrounds all have RTX on. I hate to say it, but the animation is better than cloverworks other absolute banger this season, my dress up darling (though dress up darling is overall slightly better).
To put the 9 I gave this show into perspective, out of over 300 anime that I have watched, less than 20 have a 9 or 10. And this is a 9, which means I absolutely LOVED it. Man, cloverworks wasn't exactly my favorite studio before this season, but now it is up there with my all time favorites like kyoani. They did SUCH a good job this season.
