It wasn't the least bit funny.
(I presume it was meant to be) I wanted it to be good, I really did!
And I have just one question about the other reviews.
Are the previous reviewers actually watching the same film as I am?
Only stayed with it for a little over 30 minutes.
(it was a lot longer than I intended when I realised how bad it was)
I was simply curious about Sophie von Haselberg, being Bette Midler's daughter.
But sadly those 30 minutes was way too long to suffer any more of this incredibly boring.
I hope this is not my last review, maybe next time I can say something more intelligent about the next film.
But my brain shrivelled upon itself after watching just 30 minutes of this so called Rom Com.

By the end of the movie, the characters, interwoven between similar but different storylines occurring in parallel surrounding the complex topic of love, is felt deeply. Ruby is a relatable / lovable character to many and this unique love story leaves you fulfilled and also wanting more. In an era of very predictable rom-coms I was quite pleased that this story line took turns and ended in a way that left you thinking. This movie addresses the topics of love, desire, jealousy in an approachable manner. In addition, some of the one-liners had me literally laughing out loud. Can't wait to see more from this crew!

I enjoyed the various vignettes that all wove together nicely in the end. The right amount of time wss parceled out for each one, giving enough of an intro without giving away too much too soon. Some fairly heavy issues dealt with in a balance of humor, sarcasm, and heart. Sophie is a perfect Ruby, very expressive and instantly likeable. The scenes of the Hamptons and the shop were a bonus and helped create the right backdrop. All the very diverse characters were authentically relatable and well chosen. The 's a perfect movie for today and for anyone. The writer created a story based on life experiences, which is always a draw for me and did it with such a perfect blend of up and down, sorrow and joy and just the "stuff" of real life I'd like to see more of that..
