Do we really know each other? That is the question hidden in this extremely poorly produced film. It is one of the worst recent Danish films I have seen with an otherwise prominent team of talented actors who nevertheless do their best to see the film to the end. To the end?? Which end? Nothing connects. No stories are connected. It's like watching 4 movies in one. In other films of that type, the individual destinies are linked.
We see the man having an affair and the curious hostess who nags so hard. It was endlessly boring except that Jakob Cedergren and Ellaha Lack who were in the affair did it honorably. Ellaha Lack also has a fantastic radiance and played well along the way.
The excellent Morten Hee Andersen had to fight his way through a hopeless role with a bleak past we never get the answer to. His girlfriend is pregnant and finds a hot dog cart out in the woods. It makes no sense. Is she dreaming? It was out of place and absolutely cheesy. One thing is certain, it is not Morten's fault that the film is miserable.
Please do not make such a terrible movie ever again. Waste of time.

Ok, so the movie is 5 stories and seems to be centered on trust between people. That is not an excuse to break MY trust that if I watch it till the end the stories will make sense.
Not only do the stories remain totally unrelated (so, really 5 short movies with random jumps between them), but in at least 3 of them the audience never finds out what the story IS. We get hints, but left in the dark both about the characters's past and background, and about their future. There is a lot of Atmosphere, but not a lot of plot.
This is not a movie - it is 5 separate impressionistic paintings, in movie form.
Be warned.

The whole movie is boring and slow and keeps information hidden from you, to try to get you to watch it all. I did and I was just as disappointed, as I expected to be. NOTHING happens and NOTHING is connected, just random half-stories with people, that don't know each other and half the stories don't even reveal the plot or the reason for people acting weird. Like at the wedding, where we never find out, what happened 10 years earlier or the people in the Bed and Breakfast, where we never get a reaction from (no need to spoil it here)
Skip this movie and watch something, that was actually made by people, that care about the audience and their viewing experience.

This can be harrowing to watch in parts. I suggest if you've been sexually abused or had a bi polar or violent parent that it might not work well for you.
It is a series of disconnected stories about 5 different sets of people and no, they don't all meet up in the end and have a get together, something which seems to be unbearable for some of the other reviewers.
It doesn't clearly give you perfect answers or happy endings but still isn't art house trash. There is a purpose here. The matter of trust.
One scenario is almost comedic and filled with absurd and rather clever irony. The others are more raw and can cut deep. The two stories involving a young student and a young girl are painful and may be too acute for many.
The acting is good. If you enjoy following plot changes and like to wonder about situations and other people, this is a worthwhile watch and, although somewhat quirky at times, not enough to spoil the viewing adventure.
