The protagonist of One Piece, Monkey D. Luffy, has been sailing through the seas of the One Piece world for the past 27 years in order to become the King of Pirates. He has gone through an indefinite amount of adventures to become the Emperor of the Sea, and the next step in his journey would take him closer to the One Piece treasure.

However, his journey is only going to get even more difficult from here on. Ever since Wano, his role as the main character has been redefined as the responsibility of liberating the One Piece world has now fallen on his shoulders. But what if he is not the main character of the series anymore, and someone else does his job for him?
According to a bizarre One Piece theory, Luffy might not be the protagonist of the prominent Elbaph arc.

From friendships to adventure, Hiro Mashima’s series is a complete treat. Fairy Tail is among the popular anime in the shonen genre. This is true with the manga’s staggering sales record.
But that is not it, considering its brilliant storytelling. Its approach to friendships and heroism is unique and refreshing. Most certainly, the franchise isn’t ending soon.

Alongside the manga and 100 Years Quest, he is prepping for a new series. Fans, undoubtedly, are looking forward to the new work.
But what’s even more interesting is the series being an underappreciated gem. Even after two decades, it remains slept on despite its popularity in the genre.

The Q&a session there turned out to be quite exciting, as Mashima got really lively, and made one confession that left the fans surprised. He humbly admitted that the very inspiration to create Fairy Tail was actually his loneliness! Now one might find it quite puzzling as the story itself is about friendship and everything, but his inspiration was quite the opposite.

If you’ve been in the anime community for a long time, one of the biggest and historical downfalls of all time was Sword Art Online. It had one of the best premises for a story ever but combined with the poor decision making from the animation studio, A-1 Pictures, Sword Art Online became a disaster. There’s actually a lot more responsible for why the anime failed, including Reki Kawahara’s own limitations as a writer, but A-1 Pictures holds primary responsibility for the anime’s downfall.

One of the biggest complaints and jarring changes was Kirito’s personality. From being an insecure teenager, the anime version of him leans much more into the edgy side of him but also creates an unnecessary harem, despite his relationship with Asuna being central in Sword Art Online. Unfortunately, A-1 Pictures is also responsible for great anime like Fairy Tail,...

Hiro Mashima, the famed author of Fairy Tail, might not have made it into the Big Three of Shonen, but his work has one quality that very few can actually nail. When compared to massive Shonen series like Naruto, Fairy Tail fares far better when it comes to female characterization.
Oftentimes, Shonen mangakas can skip out on developing their female characters since the manga is targeted towards young boys. However, Hiro Mashima had taken this challenge head-on and performed outstandingly.

The power of friendship trope is one of the most used tropes in the anime and manga industry and Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail is one of the series that uses it to perfection. It is one of the central themes in many different storylines and arcs and has pushed the narrative forward by helping with character development and adding twists.

The land of Fiore is home to more than its fair share of magic and mystery. In the port town of Magnolia, the wizard guild Fairy Tail has spent years building a reputation for taking on the toughest jobs and bringing their unique brand of chaos with them.
Their adventures are followed by many fans across the kingdom through Hiro Mashima’s beloved Fairy Tail manga and anime series. Over the years, Fairy Tail and its colorful cast of characters have inspired many games, hoping to capture the fun and excitement of the magical world.
One of Fairy Tail’s latest adaptations comes in the form of Kodansha’s Fairy Tail: Beach Volleyball Havoc. At first glance, this may seem like an unexpected genre shift, transporting the heroes from epic quests to a tropical tournament setting. Everyone knows at least one person who wants to join the world of anime but its vastness is far too intimidating to let them dip their toes in the water. What is the best genre? What is the best length? Is the world-building too difficult? Such questions are asked time and again by those who want to get into the world of anime. While many of these have subjective answers, it is common for people to resort to either Death Note or one of the Big 3.

Classics hold their name for a purpose. Dragon Ball, Naruto, Death Note, and many more are works that may not be perfect but they have an impact on so many people’s lives. It is not out of the usual to start with such anime. However, they can give a rather botched idea about what exactly Shonen as a genre is.

Symphonic Anime is a concert series created by conductor and chief arranger, Thanapol Setabrahmana. Getting its start in Thailand, the showcase has made its way through Thailand and Vietnam and is now making its first North American tour to Canada and the US. Thanks to his love of Japanese animation, Setabrahmana collaborated with some of anime’s most iconic composers to create an original composition of scores from Naruto , My Hero Academia , and Spy x Family into an orchestral arrangement for Symphonic Anime. This September, audiences can spend a night listening to their favorite anime score performed by the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra and choir with special composer guests Yasuharu Takanashi, Yuki Hayashi, and Makoto Miyazaki and guest vocalist Nan Sathida. I got the chance to speak with composers Yasuharu Takanashi, Yuki Hayashi, and Makoto Miyazaki about the orchestra concert and how their careers have shaped their composition styles and works.

It’s been more than two decades since One Piece debuted on-screen. With more than 500 million copies published worldwide, it also holds the Guinness World Record for the most published manga. To add to that, Eiichiro Oda, the author of the series became a renowned mangaka after crafting this masterpiece.

The series follows the journey of Monkey D Luffy, a pirate, who accidentally eats the Devil Fruit and acquires strength and agility along with rubber-like properties. Its first episode premiered on 20th October 1999 whereas the English dub debuted in 2004.
What’s interesting about the English dub version is the fact that Colleen Clinkenbeard didn’t even read the manga. However, her reason for not doing so would make complete sense to the author and he would be pleased to know.

A certain meme sprung to mind when I awoke to last week’s double-whammy of old-school anime remake news. It’s that panel from a Watchmen comic where Dr. Manhattan sits pensively in isolation on the surface of Mars and is usually made to lament how time is a flat circle, a recent example of which remarked on Ghostbusters and Dune competing at the box office in three separate instances since 1984. Anime is hardly different from other mediums when it comes to rebooting or remaking older material for newer audiences, though it's arguably been slower to dig deeper for inspirations. In the last couple of years, we’ve mostly seen updates of adaptations that originate from the early 2000s or late '90s like Fruits Basket , Trigun , Shaman King , Spice and Wolf , Bartender , Tokyo Mew Mew , Forest of Piano , Orphen and so forth. A few recent exceptions include Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai...
