Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013
The country had better things to do on Christmas night than park itself in front of the TV, and ratings were unsurprisingly low across the board for the broadcast networks as they all aired full slates of repeats.
The night's top performers were "Blue Bloods" on CBS, which led the viewer race, and "The Middle" and "Modern Family" on ABC, which had the best 18-49 performance in primetime.
CBS averaged 4.6 million viewers and a 2.8 rating/5 share in households. NBC (3 million, 1.9/4) came in second, beating out ABC's 2.7 million viewers and 1.6/3. Fox (1.4 million, 0.9/2) finished fourth, and The CW (903,000, 0.5/1) trailed.
None of the broadcast nets made it to a 1.0 rating among adults 18-49. ABC led the way with a 0.9, followed by NBC at 0.7. CBS scored a 0.6, Fox a 0.4 and The CW a 0.3.
Wednesday hour by hour:

Your shows may be in reruns now, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to watch this Christmas week. If you look around, you’ll find marathons of TV shows past (Breaking Bad), classic holiday movies (A Christmas Story), new installments of (a few!) current faves and, lest we not forget, Nikita‘s very final mission. So while those chestnuts roast on the fire, relax on the couch with these Christmas picks.

TV ratings: 'The Sing-Off' returns to a higher note Monday, 'Christmas Light Fight' has decent start
Fast National ratings for Monday, Dec. 9, 2013
"The Sing-Off" returned to NBC Monday to higher ratings than its last time out, rising half a point in adults 18-49 from its 2011 premiere (when it aired as a weekly series rather than a two-week strip). It didn't hurt that it had "The Voice," which was steady in the 18-49 demo and up in viewers vs. last week, as a lead-in.
Elsewhere Monday, the premiere of ABC's "The Great Christmas Light Fight" drew decent ratings, improving on the debut of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" last year. "Almost Human" ticked up for Fox, but CBS' "Mike & Molly" fell as rest of the network's comedy block was in reruns.
NBC averaged 9.9 million viewers and a 6.1 rating/9 share in households in primetime, easily beating ABC (6.5 million, 3.9/6) for the top spot. Fox (6.25 million, 3.9/6) came in third. CBS took fourth with 5.3 million viewers and a 3.5/5) The CW (918,000, 0.6/1) trailed with a night of specials.

"You're a little far from home aren't you, garden snail?" At first, DreamWorks Animation's pseudo superhero infused tale Turbo didn't look all that impressive. But the more footage shown in trailers, the more creative and impressive the story and animation seem to be. The voice cast is led by Ryan Reynolds, and also includes Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Luis Guzmán, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins, Michelle Rodriguez, Maya Rudolph and Snoop Lion, so that's fun. But the real standout is Ken Jeong (The Hangover) as a cranky old woman, which will annoy some and crack up others. You can decide. Watch! Here's the new trailer for David Soren's Turbo, originally from Yahoo: Turbo is directed by David Soren (who went from storyboard artist, to head of story, to directing the Merry Madagascar Christmas special) working from a script he co-wrote with Shrek Forever After scribe Darren Lemke. DreamWorks’ Turbo is definitely shaping up to be one of the best animated films of the year, and with its release date just over two weeks away in the Us, the studio have released a brilliant new trailer for the family-friendly adventure movie.
After Rise of the Guardians surprisingly failed to turn a profit last year, the studio began this year on much stronger footing with the very successful release of The Croods. With the film launching a new franchise for the animation house, things are looking much better, with Turbo expected to do the same in the months and years to come.
Netflix has already partnered with DreamWorks to create their first original content for children with a new TV series, and if all goes well at the box office in a couple weeks’ time, we’ll likely have more movies to look forward to, too.

In what is basically a superhero movie repurposed for a mollusk, DreamWorks Animation has Turbo coming this summer. Ryan Reynolds voices the snail who finds himself with the gift of super speed after a chance encounter with some nitrous fuel liquid. In this new international trailer, we get an entertaining glimpse into the mundane lives of the slow-moving snails, and also get introduced into some of the other snails in the film voiced by Samuel L. Jackson, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins, Michelle Rodriguez and more. This looks like it could be the second hit for Dwa after The Croods earlier this year. Watch now! Here's the new international trailer for DreamWorks Animation's Turbo from MSN UK (via ComingSoon): Turbo is directed by David Soren (who went from storyboard artist, to head of story, to directing the Merry Madagascar Christmas special) working from a script he co-wrote with Shrek Forever After scribe Darren Lemke.

Having found a big family hit in The Croods this spring, DreamWorks will be back on the big screen in the summer season with another animated blockbuster bound to be a family-favourite in Turbo.
The Croods took north of half a billion dollars at the box office, which was a big win for the studio coming off the back of Rise of the Guardians’ unfortunate loss last year, and I for one can’t wait to see what they have in store for us with Turbo.
The last we saw of the film was two great full-length trailers back in March, right around the time the studio were gearing up for The Croods. And now they’ve debuted another great UK trailer, featuring some great new footage.

Following the anticipated release of The Croods next month, DreamWorks will be bringing us another brilliant animated blockbuster this summer in the form of Turbo.
We saw the first teaser trailer towards the tail-end of last year, giving us a great look at the Ryan Reynolds-led adventure-comedy. Since then, we’ve more recently seen the first poster, bearing the tagline, “Slo No Mo.” And now the first full-length trailer has arrived, and you can’t help but get even more excited.
The studio have recently announced that they’ll be partnering with Netflix to launch the online network’s first original series for kids, which is set to debut in December. And that alone suggests that both parties see a big potential here for the film and a franchise beyond.

A glimpse of the speedy snail popped up last year just before Christmas, but now a full-length theatrical trailer for DreamWorks Animation's Turbo is here to go hand-in-hand with their release of The Croods this weekend. Ryan Reynolds (who can also be heard in the prehistorical caveman family comedy) takes the lead here as Turbo, a garden-variety snail who dreams of being the fastest snail in the world - with a jetpack. Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Luis Guzmán, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins, Ken Jeong, Michelle Rodriguez, Maya Rudolph and Snoop Dogg all lend their voices to the film, which looks like a fun time. We’ve been looking forward to DreamWorks’ Turbo for a while now, with a great first teaser trailer dropping at the tail-end of last year.
Damen got a chance to see a preview for the upcoming blockbuster a few months back, and he really liked what he saw – you can read his DreamWorks Animation 2013 Preview here.
We’re expecting the first full-length trailer to drop pretty much any day now. And ahead of that new arrival, Yahoo Movies have debuted the first poster, with our beloved little snail front and centre.

First poster for DreamWorks' Turbo animated family comedy, featuring the voice talents of Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti and Maya Rudolph. David Soren makes his feature-length directorial debut on the film after two shorts in Merry Madagascar and Madly Madagascar, so this isn't much of a transition. He's also worked on Shrek, Shark Tale and Over the Hedge. Also in the voice cast of the film which hits theaters on July 19th, 2013, are Michael Peña, Luis Guzmán, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins, Ken Joeng, Michelle Rodriguez, Ben Schwarz, Kurtwood Smith and Samuel L. Jackson. In Turbo, a garden snail with dreams of becoming the fastest snail in the world experiences a freak accident that might just allow him to realize his goal.

The scenes of the Indy Motor Speedway look incredible!
DreamWorks Animation’s Turbo is the story of a snail who dreams of being the greatest racer in the world, just like his hero, 5-time Indianapolis 500 champ, Guy Gagné. Turbo’s obsession with speed and all things fast has made him an outsider in the slow snail community, and a constant embarrassment to his cautious older brother, Chet.
Turbo desperately wishes he could escape the slow-paced life he’s living. He gets that chance after a freak accident when he suddenly finds himself vested with the power of incredible speed.

"Gentlemen, start your engines." DreamWorks Animation has unveiled the new trailer for their upcoming movie Turbo, about a little snail who aspires to be the "fastest snail in the world." Ryan Reynolds voices ambitious racer #5, Turbo, who we've seen before in a few first look reveals earlier this year. The voice cast also includes Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Luis Guzmán, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins, Ken Jeong, Michelle Rodriguez, Maya Rudolph and Snoop Dogg (but none of them are heard in this footage). While there's not much to this teaser, I like the music. Nice riff on Drive and "Going the Distance", but I wanted to see more. Here's the first teaser trailer for DreamWorks Animation's Turbo, in high def from Apple: Turbo is directed by David Soren (who went from storyboard artist, to head of story, to directing the Merry Madagascar Christmas special) working from a script he co-wrote with...

They may still not have the prestige of arch-rivals Pixar, but things have been looking up over at DreamWorks Animation of late. Once the home of poor CGI fare like "Shark Tale" and "Bee Movie," recent years have seen a new emphasis on quality rather (or at least in addition to) big names. 2010's "How To Train Your Dragon" was their best film to date, and last year even sequels "Puss In Boots" and "Kung Fu Panda 2" displayed more artistry than "Cars 2" did, picking up Oscar nominations for their trouble.

Ryan Reynolds is close to inking a deal to voice the lead role in DreamWorks Animation's Turbo. Lisa Stewart (Monsters vs. Aliens) is producing the film, which is slated for release on June 7, 2013. This deal will mark the second film that Reynolds has worked on with the studio. He also lent his voice to Chris Sanders' adventure comedy The Croods, which Dwa will open on March 1, 2013, three months prior to Turbo.
I am looking forward to seeing Reynolds in The Green Lantern and think he's a great actor. Turbo sounds like a cute film.

Written by David Soren ("Merry Madagascar") and Darren Lemke ("Shrek Forever After"), this animated adventure tells the story of an ordinary garden snail with an extraordinary dream: to become the fastest snail in the world. When a freak accident gives him unnatural speed, Turbo sets out to try to make his dream come true.
We don't know about you, but we're rooting for Turbo already.
This would mark Reynolds' sophomore effort with DreamWorks, as he has already voiced a character in the studio's upcoming comedy adventure "The Croods."
"Turbo" is set to race onto screens on June 7, 2013, Variety reports.
Which means that while Reynolds has some time to officially sign, he better not wait too...
