The football game playing on the TV in James' house is the 2001 national championship between the Miami Hurricanes and the Nebraska Cornhuskers, a rematch from whence Jadon's Uncle Tony Fitzpatrick played the same matchup for Miami in 1983, Which they were on the sidelines attending.
