When I saw this episode, I cried right along with Cesar. This dog acts exactly like our English Bulldog Landseer did. I wish I'd known about all the tools they had on this show. I had a calming snood for bathing, but that was all I had found. Our vets didn't mention tools, and I had no clue, even exploring solutions online. Now I know.
As Cesar was working with the pet parent, and her pup, I was yelling at the TV, "Get his eyes checked!" I didn't think to say hearing, but he did that, too.
Landseer hated anything coming at him (grooming hoses/blow dryers, collars, leashes, sweaters, etc.), and that never changed. When they talked about 50/50, I agreed whole heartedly! That was all we got, after many trainers and thousands of dollars, but I'll tell you, that meant EVERYTHING to us! He was the apple of my eye.
I love Cesar's shows. Even though I'm without a dog, for the first time since I was 13, I'll continue to watch and keep educated. We lost our Landseer in February. He had a heart tumor.
One day I'll get another dog, but I know with my age, and how long my pets tend to live, I need a particular dog, and I'll have to educate myself on the perfect one, before that happens. :)
Thank you Cesar, for all you do for those of us who also love our dogs!
