Ingrid Torelli made a strong impression with her performance in last year’s horror hit Late Night with the Devil, and now, The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that she has landed the lead role in the shark thriller Breathe Deep! The project is described as being “a survival action-thriller set in the world of social media (but with sharks).”

Written and directed by James Kermack (Hi-Lo Joe), Breathe Deep will see Torelli taking on the role of Addy Frost, an exploration influencer who returns to the Devil’s Triangle 13 years after witnessing her father’s death in a shark attack. But when he replicates his encounter, donning a version of her dad’s vintage diving suit and descending into the deep, she finds herself in a battle for survival with a killer great white.

Michiel Huisman (Game of Thrones) and TikTok star Avani Gregg are also in the cast.

Writer/director James Kermack has lined up his next film, “Breathe Deep,” a survival action-thriller set in the high-stakes world of social media adventurers.

The project — from Featuristic Films and heading to the European Film Market with Cornerstone — will star Ingrid Torelli, Michiel Huisman and TikTok star Avani Gregg, who has more than 60+ million followers on social media and also appeared in a viral show on YouTube’s Brat Network alongside the short director Wesley Wang’s “You Are Seen.”

The new Star Wars Encyclopedia confirms a major Obi-Wan Kenobi theory, setting up the return of a major Legends Jedi. Pre-orders for Darktide are now open ahead of its December 3 release date, with those who pre-order the Imperial Edition gaining early access to play six days early. With Space Marine 2 due to release in just under two months, the hype train continues to gain momentum. With a franchise as popular as Warhammer 40k, it’s no surprise that any new game would have a certain level of excitement and the upcoming title is certainly no different.

Lionsgate has released the trailer for the Alexandre Aja-directed horror film “Never Let Go,” starring Halle Berry.

“Never Let Go” follows a mother (Berry) and her fraternal twin sons (Anthony B. Jenkins and Percy Daggs IV), who have protected themselves from a malicious spirit for years under their family’s protective bond. However, when one of the boys begins to question the existence of the evil, the bond is broken, leading to a terrifying fight for survival.

Jenkins, Daggs, Matthew Kevin Anderson, Christin Park and Stephanie Lavigne round out the cast.

Aja directed from a script by Kevin Coughlin and Ryan Grassby. He also produced alongside 21 Laps’ Dan Cohen, Dan Levine and Shawn Levy with Berry, Dan Clarke, Connor Digregorio, Holly Jeter, Emily Morris and Christopher Woodrow serving as executive producers.

Norah Stone is revealed to be Janan al Ghul, who plans to lead Otho astray to the dark side, creating a conflict between the twins. Superman's family embracing classic Star Wars tropes hints at a growing conflict within the seemingly idyllic House of El, as Otho is tempted by her darker urges.

The xenophobic hate group Blue Earth has played their hand, kidnapping Otho-Ra in an attempt to turn her against Superman and the rest of her family. But this isn't the first time a set of super-powered twins have been split apart and set against each other; Star Wars' forgotten scions of the Force, Jacen and Jaina Solo, are perfect examples of the kind of conflict that Othul-Ra and Osul-Ra now face.

Blood Bowl 3 is the third entry in the sporty Warhammer spin-off. Originally inspired by the board game of the same name, Blood Bowl takes Warhammer's tactics to the field in a light-hearted, fantasy take on the sport. Blood Bowl 3 comes from Cyanide Studios, which have been behind a wide range of other titles, from Call of Cthulhu to Pro Cycling Manager 2022.

A faithful adaptation of the source material, Blood Bowl 3's gameplay revolves around grid-based games and determinant dice rolls. The fantasy take on American football combines the goal of scoring touchdowns with combat, encouraging players to try to injure or kill opponents during a game. Blood Bowl aims to be the most faithful adaptation of the Warhammer board game yet, adding new layers of strategy through additional rules while still keeping things accessible to new players.

Fatshark has announced that they’re delaying the release of the Xbox Series version of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, as well as pausing the seasonal content rollout for the PC version on Steam and the Windows Store. The developer took to Twitter to announce the decision, which was based on feedback from players.

“We take enormous pride in our ability at Fatshark to deliver a game that millions can enjoy. This was what we set out to do with Warhammer 40,000: Darktide—to create a highly engaging and stable game with a level of depth that keeps you playing for weeks, not hours.

We fell short of meeting those expectations.

Over the next few months, our sole focus is to address the feedback that many of you have. In particular, we will focus on delivering a complete crafting system, a more rewarding progression loop, and continue to work on game stability and performance optimization.

Incarnate is a comic-book movie in search of a comic book. Perhaps there, in the newsprint-scented safety of those tri-color panels, its cartoon characterizations, hilariously blunt expository dialogue, and broad leaps of logic would find an appreciative audience, accustomed to prioritizing badassery over all. (Not to mention that a superhero comic-style deus ex machina climax would have been preferable to the ploddingly telegraphed ending seen here.)
