Chennai, April 15: Tamil actor Vishal Krishna, who can fluently speak Telugu, says the time has come for him to expand his market in Telugu filmdom as well as most of his films dubbed in the language have done relatively well.

"I have been eyeing the Telugu industry for a long time, but I couldn't do a straight Telugu film due to several commitments in the Tamil film industry. Since most of my dubbed films have done well here and I have also been accepted by the audiences, I think it's time I do a Telugu film," Vishal told Ians.

Chennai, Feb 9: Several Tamil films of Vishal Krishna Reddy have been dubbed in Telugu over the years, but for the first time the actor has teamed up with director Hari Gopalakrishnan for his yet-to-be-titled Tamil-Telugu bilingual.

Chennai, Oct 30: Known for his action films such as "Sandakozhi" and "Thimiru", actor Vishal Krishna Reddy didn't hesitate to shed his image for Tamil drama "Pandiya Nadu", said the film's director Suseenthiran.

"Pandiya Nadu" is slated to release Saturday.

"Vishal is known as an action hero in the industry. To convince him to star in a rural drama wasn't easy, but he was really impressed with the script and he instantly agreed to do it. He even shed his action image to do justice to the role," Suseenthiran told Ians.

"There are some action sequences, but they have been shot in such a way that audience.
