Salwa, a poor young woman, sells grilled corn on a beach in Lebanon. She has come to this country with a view to find her sister, lost since she was young. Unable to pay her rent, she is pursued by her landlord and takes refuge in a car. At the wheel, Rind, the driver of Najwa, the recently elected Miss Universe. The two young women become friends and both fall in love with Rind, an honest guitar player.
