The film is by no means bad, but is still probably the worst of all films. Storin is not that interesting and contains no major twists (there is one of course, but it is not enough for it to be that interesting), Bamse is made for children between the ages of maybe 5-8, but they are also usually quite funny even for adults to see, this one was less so. For those who read Bamse as a child, it also felt like reused concepts, they pick a bit from 2-3 old Bamse stories. It feels more like things happen just so the three main characters can get their share of sunlight, not because they are a necessary part of the story. One thing that I also miss from the old Bamse films (the ones from the 70s) is that the narrating voice usually has a much more pronounced role, this made a lot of the story because it was told with such empathy, here it is there but adds almost not the story.
The animations are nice but it is noticeable that they are not made in Sweden (but in Japan I think?). The lip sync is a little off, Skalman probably didn't go to University in the USA (a picture that appears in the film), and the characters lose a bit of their expression that you associate with those characters.
