Edward Asner makes a posthumous appearance as the Ghost of Brother Claude. This special is dedicated to his memory.

When Gonzo follows the floating candelabra down the hallway, he arrives at a spiral staircase, which begins on the left side of the screen and spirals upwards in a clockwise fashion. The scene then cuts to Pepe and the Bride's wedding ceremony and when it cuts back to Gonzo, the same staircase now begins off to the right and spirals upwards counterclockwise.

Statler and Waldorf make their traditional last heckle.
