Three years after she jumped on the remix for BTS‘ smash “Butter,” Megan Thee Stallion has linked back up with the band’s leader, Rm. Stream their latest collaboration, “Neva Play,” now.
“Money talkin’, it’s my first language/ Me and Rm gangin’,” she raps before Rm jumps in. “Me and Megan on the way/ For Asia, man, we paved the way,” he says confidently. The anime-inspired video sees the two brought to life in animated form.
Rumors of a swap deal have been swirling since the Hot Girl Coach first lent a verse to BTS’ Grammy-nominated track, which she also performed live with the band during their first run of post-Covid shows in the US. After teasing a new song by sharing a purple heart emoji last week, Army knew their time had finally come.

Her post featured a series of emojis, including a horse, a purple heart, and side-eye emojis, with an X symbol placed between the first two emojis. Fans quickly latched onto the purple heart, a symbol often associated with BTS, fueling rumors of a possible collaboration between the rapper and the K-pop superstars.

BTS were already massive in their native South Korea in 2017 when they scored one of their defining hits, the emotional ballad “Spring Day.” It was a poignant tale of grief and loss. Three years later, “Dynamite” showed a totally different extreme of their music, going for dance-floor kicks. The Chic-style disco rush of “Dynamite” was a blast of sunshine, during the bleak days of the pandemic in the summer of 2020. But different as they are, both songs show how BTS became international superstars, breaking beyond the world of K-pop and conquering the planet.

You’ll have to pardon Laura Jane Grace, she’s not feeling herself. On “All Fucked Out,” her latest single backed by the Mississippi Medicals, she explains her predicament atop a dusty tarpaulin of loping country-punk: “I’m all fucked out of the real thing/I’m dry like bread – stale & crusty/I got just the ends left.” For what it’s worth, though, she sounds like she’s making the best of it, especially in the context of what inspired the song.

The performance was filmed last month in Seoul and found V working alongside an eight-person band of musicians, most of whom had flown from the U.S. to South Korea for the gig. Despite their recent formation — and ostensible jet lag — the musicians provided V with the most dulcet of tones as he breezed through some of the songs off his debut solo EP, Layover.

Sure, V has achieved idol status during his decade-long career with BTS, received recognition as an actor for his supporting role in the 2016 Korean drama Hwarang, and established his own identity as a singer-songwriter. But he’s more than happy to admit that he doesn’t have it all figured out.
For the past three years, the 27-year-old musician and actor, born Kim Taehyung, has been continuously writing songs, showing them to fans in occasional video livestreams only to start over entirely. All of it has been in pursuit of...

In a lovely victory for songs with absolutely zero ties to racially charged violence or drunken controversies, Jung Kook of BTS has secured his first solo No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. “Seven,” which features rapper Latto, officially debuted in the top slot on Monday, July 24th, shutting out recent offerings from Jason Aldean and Morgan Wallen.
With this latest accolade, Jung Kook joins bandmate Jimin as a BTS member with a solo chart-topping hit. BTS together previously hit No. 1 with “Dynamite,” “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat),” “Life Goes On,” “Butter,” “Permission To Dance,” and “My Universe.”
“Seven,” our recent Song of the Week co-produced and co-written by Andrew Watt, officially kicks off Jung Kook’s solo era — but there’s no word yet on when Army can expect a full album from the vocalist, dancer, and youngest member of BTS. Jungkook of BTS has officially shared his first global solo single — “Seven” is here, and it includes a fun verse from rapper Latto. Stream it below.
Jungkook is no stranger to singing in English, as he does on “Seven,” having previously done so on BTS tracks “Dynamite,” “Butter,” “Permission to Dance,” and his 2022 collaboration with Charlie Puth, “Left and Right.”
The playful track is catchy and inviting, showing off the vocal abilities for which the youngest member of BTS is known: “You wrap around me and you give me life/ And that’s why night after night, I’ll be loving you right,” he sings. Latto jumps in for the bridge on the track produced by our 2022 producer of the year, Andrew Watt.
The music video for “Seven” features an appearance from South Korean actress Han So-hee, known for K-dramas like My Name and Nevertheless.

After threatening to quit his musical career if he lost the case, Ed Sheeran was, to say the least, highly relieved Thursday (May 4) when a federal jury ruled that his song “Thinking Out Loud” (co-written with Amy Wadge) doesn’t infringe on the copyright of Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On.” But the entire community of professional songwriters was also watching the case closely, and with no small degree of trepidation. “If this case had turned out differently, it would have completely changed the landscape,” says James “JHart” Abrahart,...

Thanks to “Boy With Luv,” BTS have continued to make history by releasing the first Korean-language song to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify.
The Halsey-featuring track appears on BTS’ 2019 EP Map of the Soul: Persona, and while its the first song sung in Korean to hit the Billions Club, it’s not BTS’ first entry into the Spotify success canon. In 2021, the K-pop group’s cut “Dynamite” earned the distinction, marking the first song by a Korean artist to achieve a billion streams. The following year, their track “Butter” hit the milestone as well.
“Boy With Luv” has always been a successful single. Since premiering in 2019, the song has set three Guinness World Records, including Most Viewed YouTube Video in 24 Hours, Most Viewed YouTube Music Video in 24 Hours, and Most Viewed YouTube Music Video by a K-Pop Group in 24 Hours. What’s more, Map of the Soul: Persona debuted at No.

BTS finally held their highly anticipated "Yet to Come" concert in Busan to promote the South Korean city's bid to host the 2030 World Expo on Oct. 15, and the boys did not disappoint.
The concert was attended by 50,000 ARMYs in person in Busan, with tens of millions of fans tuning into free live streams of the concert across Hybe's Weverse app, Naver Now, and Zepeto. Still, fans kept each other in the loop about what was going down on the ground throughout the show.
The boys performed a set of 18 songs that spanned their entire career, from "Ma City" and "Spring Day" to "Butter" and "Yet to Come." During the boys' ending speeches, the stadium sang "Happy Birthday" to Jimin in honor of his 27th birthday (which was on Oct. 13). Then, Jin revealed he would be the next member to release a solo single. Despite the boys' ongoing solo projects, the...

Megan Thee Stallion is taking another step to put her professional relationship with 1501 Certified Entertainment behind her.
In court documents obtained by People, the 27-year-old’s attorneys requested 1 million in relief from the record label, with whom she has previously had legal issues regarding music releases. The rapper — who goes by her legal name Megan Pete in the filing — claims that her last two albums, Something for Thee Hotties and Traumazine, have fulfilled the requirements of her contract with 1501, which she has called “unconscionable.”
“Over the past two (2) years, Pete and 1501 shared a long and tortured history of disputes with each other concerning Pete’s recording agreement, including the unconscionability of the agreement in its original form, as well as disputes concerning the release of Pete’s music,” the complaint reads.

Not much time has passed since we opened our MTV Video Music Awards predictions on July 26, but there’s already a clear and overwhelming front-runner to win Best K-Pop: BTS of course. They’ve dominated this category for years, and in fact rarely lose at the VMAs when nominated for fan-voted awards. So why have they never been nominated for Video of the Year?
To date BTS have won nine Moon Person statues at the VMAs. That includes three wins in a row for Best K-Pop for Boy With Luv featuring Halsey (2019), “On” (2020), and “Butter” (2021). The award was established in 2019, so BTS have never lost. They have also never lost Group of the Year, which was re-established in 2019 and produced three straight victories for the septet. Their remaining three victories were Best Choreography and Best Pop in 2020 for “On” and Song of Summer for “Butter” in 2021.

As the Billboard Music Awards draw near, it’s time to discuss which artists will be taking home the biggest categories of the night: Top Male Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Duo/Group, and the all-inclusive Top Artist.

This category will be a face-off between Drake and The Weeknd. The former topped the Billboard year-end Top Male Artists chart, which gives him an obvious advantage. However, the Billboard Music Awards deadline was in March, a few months after the year-end charts, which could make the difference. The Weeknd has not only had more longevity than Drake, he also dropped a whole new album in 2022. With all of that, don’t count out a Weeknd upset here, especially considering he leads nominations this year and has two big albums still in rotation. The 2022 Billboard Music Awards are set to take place on May 15 at MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas. This year's show is shaping up to be an exciting event with major artists like Ed Sheeran, Travis Scott, Megan Thee Stallion, Silk Sonic, and more tapped to set the stage ablaze. The performance lineup for the BBMAs, announced on May 9, is noticeably missing this year's seven-time nominated act BTS. So why has the K-pop supergroup decided to sit out the 2022 BBMAs? We may have an idea.
