- TriviaThe manga comic "Niccolo" which the boys in the movie are inspired by, is a comic book adaptation of the political treatise 'The Prince', written in 1513 by Italian political philosopher Niccolò Machiavelli. The comic was created specifically for this movie, with a complete storyline about the shepherd Niccolo, who gets his family murdered by the soldiers of an evil empire, leading Niccolo to revenge, fighting back the tyranny and trying to become the new king. The full story was written by director Oliver Ussing and screenwriter 'Søren Grinderslev Hansen', with the Spanish artist 'Ignacio Ferraras' illustrating the manga.

The demonstration of child cruelty is embarrassing throughout the show, but it is worth admitting that much more sophisticated scenes occur in life. I haven't read the novel that the tape was based on, but I'm more than sure that the director smoothed out some episodes. However, this is not about that at all. The film contains a deep message, which we, the audience, simply need to read. Starting to fight evil, with manifestations of violence, we risk being on the opposite side. In the film, there is a reverse at all with a huge advantage for the once-friend of the main character, and to whom roth once showed compassion. But Alf's compassion turned into a thirst for revenge, perhaps for himself, in a playful, not so serious form. Already at first, the friends could be convinced of the boomerang effect: the fight against evil and meanness by the methods of the enemy only expands the boundaries of darkness. The rapid development of the plot with the increasingly heated ebullience and hatred of teenagers turns into a terrible ending for the main character. Although he realized the wrongness of the chosen path much earlier, it was already too late to stop the element born by him...
I will personally try to formulate the message of the film as follows: "Develop light in yourself and find the strength and courage to give this light to others. Uncertainty and cowardice can ruin you and sometimes cause an irrevocable step into the darkness. " I recommend watching a picture that is far from childish, as some viewers note.
P. S. For teenage viewers, the film can be a good signal and a vaccination against a number of vices. Provided that it will be viewed thoughtfully and, preferably, in the absence of parents. The same rule applies to adults. Watch only separately. Or not look at all. The reason, I think, is unnecessary to explain.
8 out of 10.
