I'm 20 minutes in and it's not going well so far. The acting is not professional; it seems very forced. I don't know how to describe it, but it feels like they're acting in a play not a movie. The dialogue is very weak and when they try to make it poetic it's just corny. I still don't understand why the movie is black and white, perhaps it's an attempt to make this seem ...sophisticated? The only thing that's interesting is the name of the movie.

I've watched many Canadian movies despite their low ratings. Many of which were made by novices where perhaps the sound was bad or the cameraperson gave one motion sickness (or both) but at the heart of the film was a good story or unique tale leaving the viewer with things on think on. THIS IS NOT IT!
The only possible redeeming qualities here might be practice for high school classes or as critique examples in 1st term acting, film, make-up or studio courses.
1/2 star for the attempt and 1/2 star for the gained experience in how not to write, produce, direct and film a movie people might want to watch. Stick with it kids but find some higher caliber mentors if you are serious.

I think the people rating/reviewing this so poorly don't really delve into low budget flicks much. This thing reminded of Carnival of Souls meets The Lighthouse. Its a slow burn but it pays off to be patient. An interesting ending which leaves you thinking. Had a lot of debate with my friends about what the ending means which was a lot of fun! If you are cool with a low budget, slow burn, artsy fartsy joint then you'll dig this!
Plus the grilled cheese scene is bold, funny, insufferable and amazing!

I was skeptical in the beginning but I loved the ending. This is a fun film that does a lot with what it has. The director is willing to make use of some interesting shots and scene chewing, which all works out in the end. Pacing is slow, creating suspenseful moments and highlighting the more dramatic scenes. The sandwich eating was fantastic. Music seemed simple and a little generic but it nicely set the atmosphere. There's some overacting going on, which could be off-putting for some while other's will appreciate the manic tone it gives the film. Dialogue was thin, and probably the weakest part of the film. However, all in all it was fun with some nice suspenseful moments.
