I'm unsure what the producers want to leave us with. We're told about the two main narrators current endeavors. In 2022 there were no criminal allegation against army hammer. But the way it ended made me feel like this was just a salacious attack and maybe not a true documentary. Some might say that a documentary can be opened because the story remains to be unfolded.

Overall, the protagonist do a good job of telling the stories, and it's interesting to see how social media was such a big proponent and getting the story told. However, again it could use, perhaps less social media likes and more in-depth reporting..

The meaty part of this documentary is the text messages and testimonials from the women he used. Their pain is unequivocal and the sanguine desire of this soul deprived ghoul is stomach churning. The history of where his need for depravity comes from becomes a little too entangled since it's not linear and they try to jump back to Armie sometimes as if an after thought. Three episodes doesn't seem enough since the story seems unfinished at the end of the third episode. These documentary makers need to talk to the makers of the R Kelly documentary to pick up pointers on how to finish and not seem to run out of gas after only 3 episodes.

In a nutshell, Armie is guilty because his Great Great Grandad was possibly a communist. His Grandad tried to hide being Russian. His Father was left the entire family inheritance and the Aunt was cut out the will and is extremely bitter about being left penniless and seems to have never seen Armie since he was a child, but she knows what he's like. Then there's the ex-girlfriend who experienced something she won't talk about and later overheard something else she won't talk about. A couple of thirsty tik-tokers and the girl who's traumatised, but never actually met him. The only person who actually made criminal complaints and MIGHT have merits, has nothing to do with this. Oh and Armie kicked his Aunt when he was four, so he must be guilty.

What a hack job.

I had absolutely no idea and never heard of any scandals regarding Armie Hammer or his family.

After watching this 3 hour long documentary I'm almost more confused than before watching it. There's a powerful and dark story regarding his great grandfather, grandfather and aunt. But it almost seemed that Armie Hammer himself was just a collateral damage in order to sell the documentary.

Not enough is said about him to justify a 3 hour documentary that will basically ban him for life from his job. There's an endless interview scattered around the three hours of a woman claiming to be traumatized after a relationship with Hammer, but it's all based on one night that it's not clearly explained.

There's also small bits and pieces from other two women and the lawyer of one of them, but again, they claim Hammer to be a monster but don't clearly expose the events.

I think if a three episode long documentary with Armie Hammer's broken face as a poster is going to be released for the world to see, the ethical thing to do is to clearly expose the reasons and events for the allegations, not just bits and pieces here and there and half told stories.

At the end I kind of felt more sympathy for him than before watching it.

Why is it shaming and hurtful to blame the alleged rapist and torturer on social media but it's not hurtful to shame and blame and accuse the ones who are potential victims? Cancel culture is not as alive and well as rape culture as many of these reviews are demonstrating really exquisitely. As if losing some jobs is worse than being tortured & raped. Everyone's reputation is on the line. Treating the women as guilty liars until proven innocent and right is just as bad as what you accuse them of doing to Hammer. Hypocrites all over the place.

Second, BDSM is all about consent and communication. Abuse like this is taking the physical parts of the kink and leaving out the communication and consent. Gaslighting is not a kink. It's a psychological weapon. It's a tool to wield when you need to feel superior to someone else or because you get off on hurting others. They aren't the same. Educate yourself about kinks cause you are making yourself into a liar and gaslighter by perpetuating made up rumors and definitions yourselves.

If you didn't like the style of the doc or thought it didn't help the understanding of the situation, that's legit. All those other criticisms are less concrete than saved messages from a crazy actor.

I wasn't sure I was going to review this, because I am actually at a loss for words.

As a story teller I am OFFENDED. This is such a mess start to end. There is no narrative, just a gigantic "he said she said" fest, with absolutely nothing to back anything up, there is no new information, there is just no substance what so ever! This is very clearly an attempt to capitalize on the drama more than anything else, random stuff is randomly thrown in, some interviews are sprinkled in in between, and I don't end up feeling anything for anyone, and based on how all the women are depicted, I don't think this makers of this documentary does either.

So anyone that has shared private texts or fantasies with someone that they thought they trusted is fair game for cancellation and humiliation. This is bottom of the barrel. Armie was in text relationships outlining his bdsm fantasies and such. The women "liked" them. They went back repeated times. They never said "no". We've had a highly successful (doesn't mean good) film series that had women all over fantasizing about bdsm. None of the women said anything credible or provided evidence that Armie broke any laws. To all the critics of Armie, i truly hope that your private texts and photos are revealed online for all to ridicule. Sad society in which we live now. Truly. This doc is horribly one sided... and the one side represented is horribly lacking in any kind of substance. No laws were broken. Cancel culture at its worse.

I really didn't know much about this scandal just that it happened, but I certainly did not know the details of it.

This entire family is really sick. The stuff that Armie Hammer was into is not consensual. And that's the whole point. Also, the cannibalism stuff, the torture and abuse. YIKES. . And then you look at his father and grandfather and great grandfather and it's like - holy crap. Definitely some deals made with the Devil. It seems like. Literally.

It makes me really sad that Casey Hanmer has been cut completely out of the will. She seems like a really decent person who wants people in her family to stop being so sick.

Apparently in this day and age, it's okay to release a documentary that effectively ruins a man's career and life, despite everything in the documentary being hearsay, and there being absolutely no criminal convictions. So whoever made this documentary has destroyed his life to make a documentary based on.....gossip.

Has no one learned from Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. That just because people say things about someone, that does not mean it's always true. This man has never been convicted of anything. But is being treated as a criminal. Shame on Discovery+ for even allowing this garbage to be made.

Reading all these 1score reviews made me laugh out loud. You can tell most of them probably didn't get past the first episode and the others are nothing more than misogyny, trying to quiet victims as usual, and not listening to what this documentary actually had to say. This family is truly vile, violent and disgusting and Armie Hammer is repugnant. The fact that there are actually people defending him when there is piles of evidence to show the things that he did to these women in his own words (gleeful words, I might add) makes me shake my head in disgust. But then America and the deep-seated misogyny has no bounds.

This was an enlightening documentary and I am glad that the public is finally seeing the truth of this vile family and that vile person who's career should forever be over.

Someone has to put a stop to this lack of investigation being put forward by these supposed journalists. If the man has kinks and the women consented and later didn't like it, is that not just a change of heart? I didn't see one illegal thing that Armie did per this series. Then I find out that the supposed "proof" (it being the bite mark) was a stock image found online and claimed by these directors to have been from Armie (lmao!) Have these people not learned anything from the JD/Heard trials!? Then the disgruntled aunt coming out of the woodwork to complain about Armie BECAUSE she was left out of the will? The one "victim" that never met him in person.. the lawyer that defended Weinstein in this series - that is also representing the "victim" not in this show? All in all to conclude that no charges have been brought against this man. Soooooo ... then what is he being accused of, exactly? If I could negative stars, I would, smh.

Dang, that Armie Hammer is so good looking - and not a bad actor - what a shame. The documentary is very good, interesting, and explains a few things regarding the headlines that cancelled Armie. In a nutshell, it's essentially Sodom and Gomorrah meets the Mafia. The photos of Armie's partners are truly terrifying. The fact that his Aunt participated and discusses her own childhood trauma makes it a worth while watch - that is, if you can get past the vocal fry narration.

(I blame Paris Hilton and the Kardashians for teaching an entire generation this ridiculous and incredibly annoying speech pattern.)

I'll admit that other than Armie Hammer, I've paid absolutely no attention to the Hammer family before now. This doc is eye-opening in that these sorts of proclivities, based on the need to have power over others, has run in the family for generations. Due to their constant need for money, attention, greed, and power -- and MOSTLY power -- the Hammers have become soulless. This has obviously continued down to the current generation.

A few things I'll note on the other reviews here. I see lots of 1-star reviews for mostly, men. It's become typical that anything that threatens the (below) average American male, or seems "woke," or speaks out for women, automatically gets 1 star. As I said, typical, and also not to be believed. Armie Hammer can have his kinks, I have no problem with that. What I do have a problem with is foisting his kinks on unsuspecting women, grooming them as long as it takes, -- and let's face it, he's already got a head start in that department -- and then swooping in for the kill (metaphorically, so far). This behavior is not OK. It's never been OK, and people here trying to defend Hammer by dismissing these allegations should (but won't) be ashamed of themselves. I have no problem with the cancellation of Armie Hammer. Let him get a job as a cabana boy in the Caymans, he's got plenty of money to fall back on.

And a note for one other genius: Gloria Allred did NOT defend Harvey Weinstein. That was her daughter and as soon as the allegations became too much to dismiss, she dropped him as a client.

I have only seen one episode but It is enough to see that this is another case of public trial to destroy a mans life even more. I don't know if the accusations are real but this tv show acuses a man of serious crimes and this is not the place to do It. Justice is served on courts, not on TV. If this actor has comitted these crimes he must pay for them otherwise let this man live without destroying his life. They even go as far as accusing other family members without a possibility of defence. We don't know the reasons for the aunt to Talk but they might not be as good as they seem. This actor has children.

I think that the fake photo of a bite mark taken off from internet is what made question the whole thing. The main accuser is now saying that she was so love bombed by Hammer she couldn't even recognize her own shoulder and the fact that the bite mark was apparently that of a little girl's teeth. I kid you not.

I don't want to cast judgement on the woman per se, but what exactly was the production of this documentary thinking? Couldn't they even verify a single photo? She claims she has tons of other photos proving hammer's abuse on her. Where are they? Why didn't the documentary show those, since she has so many?

They claim they want to help women recognize early signs of abuse, but what I actually see is the producers and others finding themselves in an embarrassing situation while a police investigation is still pending. They will remove the photo from the documentary, as they should.

But the reason why they could not check the validity of a supposed photographic proof of abuse before letting the documentary air will perhaps remain a mystery. But this was enough for to me to question everything else they presented in it.

This type of abusive manpower over women has to STOP!!!! Just going through the messages Armie Hammer left in his "prey" victims, there is a sense of sex predator, of a man dominating a woman as a slave. He actually believes that his beauty, sex-appeal give him the right to use women as a sex object to satisfy his morbid life.

It's incredible some of the comments left in the reviews section, i.e "Makes you feel sorry for Armie Hammer instead of the other way around", "Let's just destroy a man's life, because we can", "A few aging and sad woman attempt to profit off Armie Hammer", "Another attack to Men around the world... " I am a MAN and I couldn't understand how come these reviewers did not believe on the msgs Armie HIMSELF left his victims cells????

This is another additional documentary women in general should watch and be alert for this type of predators.

This "documentary" is nothing more than kink-shaming drivel. No charges, no crimes, no proof. Just a lot of allegations with nothing to back them up.

Their star witness Courtney, has already proven that she'll lie and falsify evidence, which puts her entire credibility on the line. This woman is 30 years old, owns a business, but didn't have the fortitude to tell this man she was not interested in kinky sex? I think there is a lot more to the story that she must not be saying. Nevertheless she never told him "no", so I don't even understand why she's in this documentary (or why it was made at all). Buyers remorse isn't a crime, and it seems pretty obvious she knew what she was getting into. Seems the appeal of having sex w/ a movie star was stronger than her own self preservation, which is telling in and of itself.

The aunt just seems bitter. She's mad she didn't get half the fortune, but that doesn't warrant a documentary. If you were abused by your father, go to therapy-no amount of money will heal that part of your soul.

Everyone else on this documentary is irrelevant to the story, and once this blows over, will be irrelevant again.

I'm glad I didn't subscribe to discovery+ to watch this, and I'll be sure not to subscribe to discovery+ in the future, considering their ethics are below ground level.

Armie Hammer is the only victim here. He deserves a public apology. He deserves his life and career back. I hope he can take legal action against this nonsense-or perhaps his father will do it for him, given the letter he wrote to his sister.

The movie has succeeded in show casing a family history of sexually abusive behavior that runs in Hammer's dynasty over 4 generations, and how money and fame have been used to fulfill the inappropriate demands. I believe after Epstein scandal, and "me too" movement, these sot of hidden family secrets can no longer be kept undisclosed.

Regarding the credibility of the cases that are brought up in the movie, specifically about the family history, many of them are represented by documents, focus of the movie in second and third episodes shift more on the family history and how these perversions have been running among the male figures on the family.

Dud of a documentary. Drag the entire family in to it, make accusationss agaisnt deceased people. The guy obviously has issues. But documentary would have lasted about an hour if they didn't raise issues about the rest of the family. Apparently what I got out of the was, the producers were angry about wealthy peopleliving a life style they can't afford. I guess the sister decided to play nice just in case they dragged her in to it as well. There wasn't one item brought up about Armie Hammer that wasn't already revealed in the newpapers r on-line. A money grab. Made by people that despise people that do money grabs.

The documentary is rubbish, pure gossip based on nothing and you have played a lot of unsubscribes, mine for example. Having said that after the horrible figure you have made in producing a proof that has turned out to be fake, the documentary should be removed because the suspicion arises that there are many others if not all manufactured. Do we want to talk about the alleged victims? They have never filed a complaint, one has never met him, thirty-year-olds in plastic who could not say no and pretend to cry, an aunt seeking revenge because in practice disinherited, two pseudo gossip girls whose stupidity is known on social media. Junk job, I'll tell everyone I know to unsubscribe from your channel. Go work in the gossip field that's best.
