Exclusive: Alex O’Loughlin, the actor best known for his staring role as Steve McGarrett in CBS’s reboot of Hawaii Five-0, has signed with Independent Artist Group for representation.

Airing for 10 seasons between 2010 and 2020, Hawaii Five-0 is based on a police procedural that ran on CBS from 1968 to 1980. The show focuses on an elite, specialized police task force that combats major crimes on the islands of Hawaii, including murder, organized crime, drug trafficking, and terrorism. The team operates with a high level of autonomy, often working directly under the authority of the Governor of Hawaii.

O’Loughlin’s McGarrett is a former Navy Seal who is appointed to lead the Five-0 task force. In addition to starring on the show, he wrote and directed multiple episodes.

Henney is currently a lead in Amazon’s fantasy series Wheel of Time opposite Rosamund Pike, which was recently picked up for a third season. He plays al’Lan Mandragoran, commonly known as Lan or Lord of the Seven Towers, the uncrowned king and only survivor of the royal line of the fallen kingdom of Malkier.

The actor started his career on a slew of Korean series including My Lovely Sam-Soon before making his U.S. debut in the CBS drama Three Rivers. He went on to star in Hawaii Five-0, NCIS: Los Angeles and Revolution.

Henney also played a series lead on two seasons of Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, after which he joined the franchise’s flagship series Criminal Minds as a series regular for the show’s final four seasons.

Joe Holt (The Punisher) is set for a recurring role in the upcoming third series in The Walking Dead franchise on AMC.

Moennig’s character is an openly lesbian CalU teacher for a gender studies class that Zoey (Yara Shahidi) and her friends are enrolled in. The prof will be especially important to Nomi (Emily Arlook), who hasn’t come out to her parents yet and sees her instructor as someone she can talk to.

Moennig’s other TV credits include Three Rivers and Young Americans.

CBS has given a put pilot commitment to Halfway There, a multi-camera comedy co-written by and starring comedian Iliza Shlesinger. It comes from I Hate My Teenage Daughter creators Sherry Bilsing-Graham and Ellen Plummer-Kreamer, Avalon Television and ABC Studios.

Penned by Shlesinger, Bilsing-Graham and Plummer-Kreamer, Halfway There centers on a comic (Shlesinger) who prides herself on “guiding women” in her act. She is forced to put that to practical use when her half-sister moves in with her.

British filmmaker Gerard Johnson is set to direct the true-crime thriller “Three Rivers,” with Robbie Brenner (“Dallas Buyers Club”) and Michael Keyes producing.

Brenner and Keyes are producing under their respective banners, Unburdened Entertainment and Against the Grain Entertainment/Barkers Point Pictures.

Exact plot details being kept under wraps, though the dark and gritty thriller is based on actual events. Exclusive: Five filmmakers selected for writing and editing residencies.

Pjlf Three Rivers has announced the five filmmakers selected for this year’s writing and editing residencies, which will take place over the summer in Italy.

The initiative, supported by the Pjlf Arts Fund and the Chatwin Scholarship, is also continuing its partnership with the Dubai International Film Festival (Diff). The five selected filmmakers will present their projects at Diff’s Dubai Film Market in December.

India’s Haobam Paban Kumar and Hungary’s Balazs Simonyi have been selected for the first writing residency to take place in May-June. Marten Rabarts and Franz Rodenkirchen will work with the two filmmakers on their projects, Joseph’s Story and Heartstop, respectively.

The second writing residency, to take place in August and September, will see Rabarts and Gyula Gazdag work with Florian Habicht on Under A Full Moon and Ishtiaque Zico on Cinema, City And Cats.

Dubai Film Market is introducing a selection of Indian projects for the first time this year through a partnership with Europe’s Pjlf Three Rivers Residency.

The five projects are being scripted by hot new talents such as Kanu Behl, whose debut feature Titli premiered at Cannes’ Un Certain Regard in 2014, and Raj Rishi More, whose project is being produced by The Lunchbox director Ritesh Batra.

The Three Rivers residency provides writer-directors with a month-long distraction-free space to work on their scripts in the Italian countryside, with the help of an expert mentor, before presenting their projects at Diff. Although focusing on Indian projects in its first year, the organisers hope to open the programme to international writer-directors, including those from the Arab world, from next year.

With a screenplay written by John Doolan, Wishin’ and Hopin’ is a Christmas story set in the 1960s in the fictional town of Three Rivers, Connecticut, and more specifically, St. Aloysius Gonzaga Parochial School. The book follows a young boy, Felix, as he attends Catholic school and learns about life and culture from a Russian student and a substitute teacher, among others.

The film will be directed by Colin Theys.

Three Rivers Theatre Company is currently seeking talent for its production of “Boss: The Untold Tony Danza Story.” Of the show, the company says it’s “a comedy loosely (and we mean loosely) based on the early life and career of America’s favorite son and national treasure, Tony Danza!” There’s possible pay, and auditions will be held April 8 in Los Angeles, Calif. Exclusive: Actress Katherine Moennig has signed for representation with Paradigm. Moennig co-stars on Showtime’s Ray Donovan as Lena, the right-hand woman/press agent to Liev Schreiber’s eponymous fixer. The drama series will return for a second season this year. Moennig, an L Word and Three Rivers alum, is currently filming the feature My Dead Boyfriend, directed by Anthony Edwards, and recently wrapped hostage thriller Default. She’s also repped by Framework Entertainment.

The pilot for A&E's "Occult" has just expanded by two as both Daniel Henney and Brennan Brown have signed on to co-star in the project, which already boasts a pretty impressive cast with Josh Lucas, Lynn Collins, and Agnes Bruckner.

The potential new series is written by James Wong ("The X-Files," "Millennium," "American Horror Story"), who will executive produce with Michael Bay and his partners at Platinum Dunes, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller, producing.

"Occult" revolves around Dolan, an FBI agent (Lucas) who has returned from administrative leave after going off the deep end while investigating his wife’s disappearance. Eager to be back on the job, he is paired with an agent with her own complicated back story who specializes in the occult (Collins). Together, they will solve cases for the newly formed occult crimes task force. Bruckner will play Lucy, an attractive, edgy young soul caught up in the occult.

We were so disappointed that Zero Hour wasn’t given more time to gain an audience, but at least were pleased when ABC announced that the entire first season would air this summer, including the first three episodes that aired in the winter.

Happily, ABC has now paired those episodes with unaired episodes from another gone-too-soon show from earlier this season, 666 Park Avenue, according to Deadline. Per TVLine the ill-fated spooker, which ABC pulled from the schedule following its December 2, 2012 broadcast, will reward loyal viewers with a finale on July 13. Speaking with the site recently, series star Rachael Taylor gave the final episode two very enthusiastic thumbs up, saying, “I love the ending. Everything gets completely flipped on its head, and it was very fun for me to play. My character is very different in the last episode. I’m really looking forward to people seeing the end, because shit gets crazy.”

At Fox’s Tuesdays press junket, the network’s entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly was huddled with a gaggle of writers after his executive session and candidly referenced “stumbling out of the gate” with the ill-fated fall drama The Mob Doctor. He then quipped, “which, by the way, was the worst title in the history of the world.”

Sure enough, that quote popped up in online reports yesterday. And make no mistake — The Mob Doctor was a stinker title (though after the upfronts last year, we actually thought CBS’ upcoming drama Golden Boy...

In select theatres and on VOD right now is the sci-fi horror flick Crawlspace from producer Greg McLean (Wolf Creek) and director Justin Dix. Check out an exclusive clip from the film and decide if you wanna pony up for the whole enchilada.

Fans of ABC's cancelled series "666 Park Avenue" are going to now have a much longer wait before achieving any sort of closure as the network has suspended broadcasts of the show until the summer of 2013.

According to TVLine, instead of beginning to air the remaining episodes of "666" next month as originally announced, unaired installments won't arrive until the warmer months. Look for the exact dates soon.

Despite the show's recent cancellation, fans of "666 Park Avenue" should still receive some closure when the series ends its run on ABC as executive producers David Wilcox and Matt Miller promise they are "building to a powerful and surprising series finale."

Wilcox and Miller told TVLine they were given enough time to turn their swan song into a series finale, adding, "We hope fans of the show continue watching all the way to the end of Jane and Henry’s incredible journey to the dark side... where all your questions will be answered.”

As luck would have it, DVR data released last week showed the ratings for the thriller’s November 4 episode spiking a staggering 77 percent — raising hopes that ABC might un-ring the cancellation bell. The news prompted leading man Dave Annable to vent on Twitter that ABC “f—ed up” by axing the series. But it’s a decision...

Despite its People's Choice Awards 2013 nomination for "Favorite New TV Drama" and ABC recently ordering a few more scripts for the series, the network officially gave "666 Park Avenue" the axe today.

Per Deadline, the plan seems to be for the series’ original 13-episode order to play out the way things did last season for "Pan Am" with ABC not shutting the door on the show completely, technically keeping it in consideration for next season, although we have to think such a scenario is highly unlikely given the low ratings "666" has received.

In the meantime we'll keep our eyes on the situation and let you know if anything changes.

Executive producer David Wilcox told TV Guide, Elder is "a mysterious resident of the Drake who helps Jane unlock the secret of the building's true evil origins. Whoopi's an incredible actor so when we heard that she was a horror fan, we wrote the role for her."

The ABC Network is showing a tremendous amount of faith in its devilish new horror show "666 Park Avenue," as it has ordered two more scripts for the series despite it tanking like a lead balloon in the ratings.

Former "Grey's Anatomy" star Kim Raver has found her next TV role.

Raver will star in Lifetime's drama pilot "The Secret Lives of Wives," about four close friends and their marriages, according to the Hollywood Reporter. She joins Salli Richardson ("Eureka"), Lauren Bittner ("Paranormal Activity 3") and Amber Clayton ("Three Rivers") in the cast.

The Reporter also notes that Valerie Cruz ("Off the Map") has joined the pilot as a woman who claims she had an affair with the husband of Raver's character. Jill Gordon (Lifetime's "Five," "My So-Called Life") is writing the pilot, which is based on a book by Iris Krasnow.

In still more "Secret Lives" news, Deadline reports the pilot has cast Callum Blue ("Smallville," "Secret Diary of a Call Girl") and Derek Smith as the husbands of Bittner's and Clayton's characters.
