The plot (not spoiler): This is an intriguing story of a NIS agent (Han Ji Hyuk) who loses his memory during a mission and returns back after a year.
The story is well paced, neither too fast nor too slow.
The only problem I faced, is that the writers keep adding characters which made me bit confused to remember all the names.
The action is on the point!
Its not an unique drama, the plot is quite common but its very well executed, it definitely leaves you wanting more at the end of each episode. The cliffhangers will make sit on the edge of the seat.
Nam Goong Min- Okay! So it's a one man show and i.e Nam Goong Min!
He is just astonishing, as always. His workout scenes are well directed, his muscles bulging and his skin glistening with sweat...ooooohhh!!! Not only action but his gaze also. He will rip you off just by his gaze and he looked so damn violent and wild in all his action scenes. But sometimes you will feel like he is a cold hearted assassin.
Kim Ji Eun- She supported well Nam Goong Min. Her character is cheerful and cute and she is a badass girl also. She has humanity and warmth which melts his senior's frozen heart whose humanity was on the verge of extinction.
Overall, the plot/script writing is little weak, it could have been better if they wouldn't have shown so many characters.
I wouldn't recommend this series to those who have low attention or those who watch dramas in fast forward because if you skip even for 10 secs.. boom!!!you have just missed an important character.
It's not everyone's cup of tea, but if you like a good mystery action packed drama, then this is worth checking out!
OST: Its worth adding to your playlist.
PS: Remember all the names.

It is a really interesting series concerning trust and moral values. I loved it. The action scenes were just on point. It was somewhat confusing in some parts but my questions were all answered till the end of the series.
Perfection. Pure and simple.
Action sequences were thrilling, engaging and brutal. Somehow I hoped there would be more but was equally glad there weren't. Honestly if they'd keep up with it Han Ji Hyuk would have ended in intensive care before the story would have made it to the half-way point.
A man of few words, you can see his gradual transformation from raging beast, to paranoid weapon, to a man whom has seen and done too much, but is trying to make (an extremely awkward) attempt in connecting with another human and those around him.
The politics, the scheming, the "it depends on your viewpoint"-morality were all extremely realistic. And also important, vocalized in a natural, unforced dialogue. Everything is connected, but it takes a bit to get there as you have our main character act on any knowledge he finds, without the context of his memories. So he makes mistakes, rash judgements and hits and misses with all the consequences in tow.
The ending ties it down neatly. No open endings, unanswered questions or mysteries. Just the end of a nightmare and a trauma... a good headway into overcoming and healing.

I finished the series now and I know I'm going to be depressed for a long time because it ended so soon, this is one of the best series out of 130 Korean series I've seen and I suggest you don't miss it.
I fell in love with Namkoong Min for the second time. The first time was in the good manager series and the second time was in the veil series. He really plays every role perfectly, but here he is really very, very awesome. I hope to see more of him in action movies and series.
If you like mystery, crime, action movies and series, be sure to watch this series, every part of it is exciting and will make you happy, and I assure you there is not love and romance, the main actor is a strong, smart and attractive person that you fall in love with him.

I have watched six episodes so far. At the end of each episode, it seems that a large part of the mystery will be solved in the next episode. The story is like an onion, when one curtain is removed a few more stand.
In a word, there is no shortage of Thriller. If you don't see it, you will miss a lot.

Nam Goong Min nailed it! As im watching it reminded me of John Wick movie. Really great drama.. You wont be disappointed watching this. Nam Goong Min deliver his character really well, he deserves awards.
South Korea makes a lot of NIS-themed series and movies, but The Veil is arguably one of the best out there. It's a 12-episode spy drama that's full of plot twists, and is intriguing from the very first episode up to the last.
Note that The Veil is heavy on the narrative so it isn't as action-packed as the trailer suggests BUT when it's time for action, it's crunch time. All fight sequences really deliver - and they get pretty intense with a jacked Namkoong Min at the forefront.
9/10 would recommend to anyone who has a knack for crime thrillers.

The storyline is interesting , the way they put the plot onward and backward is good enough . The action also not bad though , Not much surprises but can make us curious on what happen next . The ploy on how the made the bad guy is also interesting at first we think maybe everything is about inside job / a mole , but turns out everything just about revenge . There's time when i think that maybe this is how we always said that so much of South Korea similar with US on how they spying on people . Also i give 8/10 stars for Min Hyuk on his acting and his body , is well built .i give je yi maybe aroun 7/10 star for her acting and beauty .
I really enjoyed it thus far.
Story is intriguing enough, action is building somewhat slowly but not dragged out, rather in a realistic pace. Acting is good, lead actor especially so.
Without spoilers, I have to say the car chase in episode 1 was filmed very nicely, from a different than usual viewpoint, which definitely adds to cinematic experience.

Min Namkoong is an amazing actor. There are only two episodes out right now and I'm hooked!. I'm enjoying the story line and action scenes. Can't wait till the next episode.
A lot of the so-called suspense are quite unnecessary as it seems a lot of investigators are already in the know of the "secret gang" from the start but simply choose not to reveal to the audience and the protagonist, until much later. I guess the director/writer is trying to setup an air of mistrust between agents, but it doesn't seem to work very well here.
Some of the fight scenes are also unnecessary, as if they fought for the sake of an exciting fight scene. More like gangster fights, than battle of wits between spies. The media and cops seemed oblivion to frequent mass fights and murders in the city.
Good casual entertainment nonetheless, if you're in for the gun fights and car chase.

It's really disappointing to see a drama with a good and enjoyable start just to wither away later on, that includes everything even the cast. As if every single person that was involved in making the drama got tired of the project. Although the earlier parts were enjoyable but I was rolling my eyes every single time Je Yi & Soo Yeon show up on the screen and broke the momentum. They were both easily the worst part of the drama in general. As expected, by the time we got to see the real culprit, it turned out to be a caroonish joker knock off with zero effort put into writing him. To state the obvious, Namkoong was doing an unbelievable amount of heavy lifting to keep this drama afloat. The OST was decent at the right time, while other times it was just some background noise. It's still a decent watch and the slightly shorter runtime was helpful but temper your expectations a bit.
This is termed as spy thriller but nothing great as of now. Will change my rating if it offers something thrilling and best episodes later. If the show is of just 12 episodes I would rather expect something great in first 2 episodes.
