I love Terminator, I adore it. It's easily one of my absolute favorite sci-fi movie line and series of all time, but I just can't get behind this at all. It pains me to have to say the following words...
The overwhelming majority of the episodes have no audio whatsoever. You'll see the HK-Tanks rolling around, and there's just no sound at all until the gun fires, and that's the only audio you get. No music, no environmental sounds of treads etc. Nothing.
There are scenes where survivors are having discussions around a campfire, walking around, using radios, and all you can hear are the voices with the occasional half a second of a fire crackling, or a radio blipping.
There are multiple scenes where someone will be firing a gun, and there's no sound at all. In one scene, a woman is firing a gun, and the only audio is a sound effect of bullet casings hitting the ground. I have no clue if they were trying to be artsy about it, and just failed outright, or if this production was simply plagued with technical problems.
I'm not even going to elaborate on how visually offensive this film is either because that's hardly it's biggest problem. I'll just say, it looks like a Playstation 2 game. If visuals and audio are something you care about, you'll hate this.
I will say, this might make a mediocre audiobook, but as a series, it's essentially unwatchable.
I would say this is easily the single lowest effort entry into the Terminator universe, even lower than some of the unlicensed fanfic YouTube videos made by fans of the films, and I hate admitting it.
