I enjoyed the premise of this film and felt the storyline would be an epic love story. About a third of the way through it became very stagnant. There was a rush very early on to shift the story. There wasn't enough character development and angst. There could have been so much more emotional performances. I can only imagine the actors were restricted by the director and screenplay. I would love for an entirely different production company take this story on. It would make for a beautiful book where an author really dogs deep with the main characters. Changes in relationships both led to minimal passion, complacency. It had so much potential!

That don't hea "Love At First Kiss" on Netflix, and just abt 1 1/2 hours long, this movie was really boring. I have no idea why it got a TV-MA rating as I didn't see anything warranting that rating at all. The ML accidentally kisses his best friends girlfriend and he believes that he can tell from the first kiss whether he will have a future with that person or not. Of course the kiss was that kind of kiss for him, so he goes on to pursue her and the story takes off from there but couldn't be more boring. It is centered around his publishing business that isn't doing well and there is alot of boring side dialog on it; another side story with another girl that has a crush on him that has a moment or two but not much, and the ending is not very satisfying at all.

I loved it. It wasn't overly dramatic but had a nice flow and I actually didn't expect the turn it took in the middle. It's not a loud comedy, it's a more quiet movie. I fell for the montage he saw of his best friends girlfriend and wanted it to happen and then the movie convinced me it wasn't a good thing after all.
Yes the book stuff was maybe the more boring part about the movie but it worked well with the little hints about what readers of a book would want as a happy ending and so on. I think it was a good way to describe what the movie was about at the end.
Only thing I disliked was that it seemed a bit fast at the end and it was hard to understand his decisions.

First things first, this is not a rom-com as it is more of a romantic drama. The protagonist has a special talent of turning the first kiss into a showreel of his future with that person. Thus begins his search for that true love while he keeps rejecting girls without letting them know the real reason. The twist in the tale arrives when he's forced to kiss his best friend's girlfriend and realizes she is the one. Is foreseeing the future enough to find your true love? He finds that out obviously but in the third act.
The film lacks any hilarious scenes so the tone resorts to more of a drama with dialogue heavy scenes. The main lead not being that charismatic is also a downer to invest in his life. It does try very hard to not be monotonous and the build up to the moment of his realization towards his relationship is well handled. By now the film gets pretty predictable. May be a more subtle hilarious take on this concept would have been far more entertaining turning this into a proper rom-com.

I recently watched the movie "Love at First Kiss," and to be frank, it was a complete disaster. From the very beginning, it was evident that the movie lacked any substantial plot or character development. The writing was amateurish at best, and it felt as though the writers had no idea what they were doing.
The poor plot twists were poor and uninteresting, and the lack of comedy also left me bored and uninterested throughout the entire movie. As for the so-called "romance," it was lackluster and completely unconvincing. The chemistry between the lead actors was non-existent, and it felt as though they were going through the motions without any real passion or emotion.
Overall, it was a poor movie, and I couldn't help but wonder what the writer was thinking. It seemed as though they were trying to create a romantic comedy, but failed miserably in every aspect. The lack of creativity and effort put into the movie was disappointing, and I would not recommend it to anyone. Save your time and watch something else.

This was among the worst romance movies I've ever seen. It is absolutely terrible and it is so bad it should be removed from all streaming services!! Don't wait your time on this crap. The writer is clearly delusional or hit their head at some point, I could have never thought such an awful story existed. Everything in the movie was going great, it was a wonderful movie, the plot was so fun and wonderful and I was loving the movie. And then the last ten minutes ruined the whole thing. A whole hour and a half wasted all In ten minutes. There are so many different endings the author could have and should have chosen. And don't even get me started on the trailer. That is nothing like the movie would be like. At all. This movie was the worst movie I can ever remember watching.
Romantic comedies are a dime a dozen and all has been written and done before, but this one is different... oddly enough, but yeah... different!
It's not "boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boys gets girl back... this boy keeps meeting girl after girl after girl after girl and he always knows where things go and he ditches them before losing them. Until one day (or one girl) he doesn't know where it can go...
Love shouldn't feel comfortable but exciting, it shouldn't be a "deja vu" or a "been there done that" but more of a "I really don't know what's coming and that's great!"... and that's exactly what this boy - and us, the viewer - get, and that's what makes this movie different, fresh and great!

Let us preempt this by saying that boys and girls here stands for any relationship either same-sex or otherwise it is made clear at the start of the film; it is again about finding the true partner the true other half and of course this theme has been running through all of literature all of filmmaking since it's inception.
Here it is a very interesting iteration on this theme. It shows how sometimes something which looks like gold is only glitter.
It is interesting to see that his friend's girlfriend finally rejects him when she sees that he seems to have some kind of seer power Which makes everything predictable and therefore extremely boring; he does look quite boring as a person kind of guy who keeps his cards really so close to his chest but you can never see or guess how he feels.
The fact that the tale spins around and ends up somewhere we thought it might but were never really sure is very well done here. In many ways beyond being a film about boy girl girl boy it is more of a film about predictability and chance and the fact that the story is always wider than the human mind could possibly imagine
Funnily enough at the start of the film it looks like it is going to be a shallow fest of cliches but in the end it is anything but; this feeling is only there for the first 10 minutes if that, so by all means carry on with it it is a film that has depth in the end and one could even argue is philosophical
A fairly refreshing iteration on the boy girl story; totally worth a viewing.
