The film was first broadcast on January 18, 2022, two days before the 80th anniversary of the Wannsee Conference.
After Die Wannseekonferenz (1984) and Conspiracy (2001), this is the third television film depiction of the Wannsee Conference.
Filmed on location at Lake Wannsee and in Berlin's Unionfilm Studios.
On 20 January 1992, on the fiftieth anniversary of the conference, the actual house used in the film was opened as a Holocaust memorial and museum known as the "Haus der Wannsee-Konferenz" (House of the Wannsee Conference) that hosts permanent exhibits of texts and photographs that document events of the Holocaust and its planning.
