Defying a marketplace for talent holding deals that has dried up this season, ABC has inked separate pacts with Martin Henderson and comedy veteran Leah Remini.
Under his six-figure deal, Henderson is expected to topline an hourlong project for the network. The New Zealand-born actor is meeting with writers to discuss potential starring vehicles.
Henderson, repped by Wme and Management 360, already has headlined two ABC pilots: 2007's "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," in which he played the male lead, and last season's "Inside the Box," in which he played the male heartthrob.
Remini also starred in an ABC pilot in the spring, the comedy "Married Not Dead."
The "King of Queens" alumna is eyed for a another potential comedy turn at the network.
Remini, repped by TalentWorks and attorney Jon Moonves, also recently starred in the successful Web series "In the Motherhood" but didn't make the leap to ABC's short-lived TV incarnation.
