While the premise, the life of Jesus as sitcom, should provide ample material, this show just limps along, which is saying something as it is only 15 minutes long. Bad scripting, worst acting and $2 sets take this show from "it's so bad, it's bad" down to "it's so bad, someone, perhaps multiple someones, should be publicly stoned for it." The "gag" of Mary Magdalene as Siamese twins "Mary" and "Magdalene" alone is worthy of this punishment.
Adult Swim knew they had a dog on their hands and plugged this in at 5 AM on Sunday morning and not promoting beyond a brief tiny mention in their "bumps." Of course, soon enough, churchgoers (of which I'm not) and those who hate crimes against intelligence (of which I am) will find out about this and it will be swiftly canceled or so I hope.

I love religious parody and farce. I LOVED Adult Swim's "Lucy: The Daughter of the Devil"! "Moral Orel" is another successful Adult Swim show that pokes fun at religion. And I have a feeling this show will be great as well, although I haven't had a chance to see it yet.
People in this country seem to take religion too seriously. If Christians' faith is strong enough, they should be able to watch this show and laugh.
Adult Swim is known for it's unique shows and original premises. Their audience is made up of people who like their style of what might be called "alternative programming". This show definitely fits the brand.
