Seven years ago German director Marian Dora changed extreme cinema with the notorious Melancholie der Engel. In the documentary Revisiting Melancholie der Engel Swedish director Magnus Blomdahl follows in the tracks of this film together with Marian Dora himself. Locations, stories and, of course, Marian himself. The man with eight different pseudonyms. Melancholie der Engel is loved for it's brutal honesty and hated for it's haunting acts of nihilism and true terror. Melancholie der Engel is more than just a movie. Revisiting Melancholie der Engel is about that film, the borders between fiction and reality and the person behind this artistic madness. Revisiting Melancholie der Engel is being released 31 of mars by Black Lava Entertainment and can be prebooked at www.blacklava.at ...

The Profane Exhibit is an anthology of 13 horror films from different countries. My favorite German director, Uwe Boll, made his about that really sick story about an Austrian father who locked his daughter in the basement and raped her.
You Know Boll has been dying to make a film about this since he first heard the story in 2008. Apparently, an Austrian man decided to rape his daughter, repeatedly, and locked her in a basement for 24 years. 24 Years. She had kids down there, and everything. Neighbors didn't know, no one knew. Even his wife, the girl's mother, claimed not to know exactly what happened. How fucked is that?
So fucked that Boll knew he needed to film it.
I'm not sure excatly what The Profane Exhibit is, except that is seems to be some kind of anthology of short horror frolm 13 different directors. Interesting to note, one of the directors is a woman,...

If you've been following along, you've gotten every bit of information we can squeeze out of the creators of The Profane Exhibit anthology film. We've given you some directors, stars and stills. Here's some more for you ... chew on this announcement of yet another director joining the project.
Marian Dora (Melancholie der Engel, Cannibal) will be directing the segment entitled Mors in Tabula (Germany, 10 min.). Rune Erikson of the Norwegian black metal band Mayhem penned the score. The Profane Exhibit promoters describe Mayhem as "the black metal band that started it all, the church burning, murder and cannibalism." There's a resume for you!
Starring in Mors in Tabula will be Victor Brandl (Cannibal), Carina Palmer (Jess Franco's Incubus) and Thomas Goersch (Reise nach Agatis).
And for a bit more mayhem, below is a still from the Michael Todd Schneider (of August Underground fame) directed segment, Manna. The image is...

The B-Movie Underground and Trash Film Festival brings their unique collection of international sleaze on Sept. 7-11 in the city of Breda in the Netherlands. Violence, gore, general grossness and perversion are, once again, near and dear to the heart of this fun fest.
From the U.S., the But Fest is screening a few modern underground classics while also celebrating a few of the old masters. Included in the lineup are Usama Alshaibi‘s mind-blowing Muslim sex worker flick Profane, Zach Clark‘s wild weekend of debauchery Vacation! and Dan Nelson & Drew Bolduc‘s over-the-top The Taint.
Plus, But is honoring Cinema of Transgression mastermind Nick Zedd with several screenings of his classic works, such as Thrust in Me, Police State and Whoregasm, as well as his recent public access TV series Electra Elf.
Other films from around world include horror hits like César Ducasse & Mathieu Peteul’s Dark Souls,...

The Angels' Melancholy comes from director Marian Dora (who's had extensive experience working on horror and gore films like Btk Killer, Green River Killer, and Zombie Nation) and will be his second feature length film. The first, Cannibal, went straight to DVD. What ostensibly looks like an erotic thriller has the visual style of Jörg Buttgereit's Nekromantik and is more hard horror, similar to Last House on the Left. The trailer doesn't showcase much of this, but we've been told we might be able to get a red band trailer in a month.
A dark secret connects Katze and Brauth, two middle aged men. Katze has the clue that his end is near. The two friends meet again after years to share their last days in the old house where everything happened a long time ago. With three girls they met on their way, the atmosphere begins to recur a second time.
