Akash's father is Chief Trustee of a college. But ideological differences make him join another college away from home. on the very first day he gets injured by a stone thrown by one of the agitating students.
Being too young, Akash is not taken seriously by students as well as staff members. But he proves his mettle by becoming instrumental in students' calling off the strike.
Two groups of students are at loggerheads; one led by student leader Adarsh and the other led by muscle lad Amrit. Akash refuses to be intimidated by neither and succeeds in taming both through his firm but friendly ways.

When Akash confronts rowdy ex-husband of divorcee teacher Pushpa, Mohan unsuccessfully tries to scandalize their relationship. Akash meets an unemployed ex-student Chetan who runs a tea stall while preparing for competitive exams.
When Akash warns an unemployed ex-student Franklin for spoiling students, he gets a threat in return. Both become friendly when Akash accepts Franklin's challenge and visits his house. Akash notices the poor state of the village.
When Chetan gets a job, Franklin decides to run the tea stall till he also gets employment of his liking. Akash decides to organize a Students Camp during holidays at Franklin's village for social work and inspires students to join him.
Akash, Pushpa and few other teachers camp at Franklin's village for social work. After devoting days to creating awareness about cleanliness, health and education, at nights they gather for campfire. Pushpa gets attracted towards Akash.
Mohan invites some students to his house and offers them hard drinks. Annoyed by this, Akash admonishes him. Disgruntled Mohan conspires causing an accident of the bus carrying teachers and students back.
Seriously injured in the accident, Akash suffers paralysis. His pupils come to know about Mohan's villainy, but he doesn't let them avenge. He pardons repentant Mohan and continues mentoring his students till his last breath.
