Another unconvincing, shallow and predictable Serbian film with a solid cast. For the umpteenth time in recent years, the question remains as to what is happening with Serbian screenwriters and whether they exist at all. It follows several stories and characters, some of which simply disappear during the film and are no longer there, so you wonder what was the purpose of their appearance. In all this, a fairy-tale story about the customs of some fictional village in Serbia, which, by the way, has hotels, beaches for swimming and a huge police station, even a hospital, gets involved. The attempt to draw a parallel with that custom makes some sense, but it is also very unconvincingly presented. Of course, like all films from Belgrade, a complete failure of the original accent of Eastern Serbia, to which the plot of the film is linked. The principle of film is to give money to film something, do marketing and then turn it into a TV series. I expected much more...

Completely oposite to some user who write comment before me.
Nothing is exellent and everything is below average, below mediocre.
Vuk Pavlovic completely NOT understand his own father, completely without idea about characters, scene, or period.
Yes, hi shot movie in places where his father filming his masterpeace The Ambush (1969), but so what ?!
Very weak.
Dialogs are unatural and investigation sublot is complete ridiculous kitsch PULP and wannabe NOIR. Bukvic character is stolen Dylan Dog character from Bonelli comics without supernatural plot, shame on screenwriters for that. Awful.
Besides everything else, Bukvic is a very bad actor, without charisma for anything. Not only in this movie.
Ridiculous accent attempt from Pavlovics daughter actress Milena Pavlovic.
Mcguffin is a joke.
Camera, decor, costumes, scene, music, effects... Everything is out of place, fake, just bad...
Jovo Maksic and and Boris Milivojevic is only bright lights in this mess.
For the end... Legend of LAPOT is completely mambo jumbo communist propaganda. Even if it happened (no evidence at all), it was not a folk tradition.
Shame.
