During tonight's PaleyFest panel on the Starz's series Outlander, host Kristin Dos Santos chose to spend most of the time engaging the panelists in various party games rather than asking a lot of questions. One involved whiskey, another featured questions modeled after The Newlywed Game. Although panel members took the challenge in good spirits, this did drag on. However, somewhere amidst the jokes and the drinks, the panel — stars Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan and Tobias…...

When The Beatles made their U.S. debut on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964, Elvis Presley was the king of rock and roll, but a wind was blowing from across the pond, and L.A.'s No. 1 rock DJ, Bob Eubanks (who later became the long-running host of The Newlywed Game) sensed it. When other promoters balked at the idea of shelling out $25,000 to bring the Fab Four to town, Eubanks and business partner Mickey Brown took a loan against one of their real estate ventures and landed the hottest act in pop music on

How well do supposed BFFs Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen know each other? Not very - at least judging by this new (ok, actually two-month old) video of the lovable British actors playing a variation on "The Newlywed Game" for an audience of adoring fans. But before we get to the clip, a few important observations: 1. Yorkshire Pudding is not at all what I thought it was. 2. Patrick Stewart 2014 still looks exactly like Patrick Stewart 1997. 3. Ian McKellen thinks "Country + Western" is a song and not a genre, because British. 4. "Widow Twankey" is my new euphemism for everything. 5. Ian McKellen is wearing a pair of black Ugg boots. I repeat: Ian McKellen is wearing a pair of black Ugg boots. 6. Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen are our new Betty White. (Sorry, Betty, but your moment has passed.) Chris Evans paid a visit to The Tonight Show last night to promote Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Evans didn’t give much away in terms of plot, but it’s not like the film– which opens in the U.S. this weekend– needs much additional buzz. The most interesting part of the appearance, Chris brought along adorable younger brother Scott Evans, who might just have a bigger fanbase on TheBacklot than his movie star sibling. (Scott is also an actor and played gay soap character Oliver Fish on One Life to Live.)
The two Evans brothers played a modified version of The Newlywed Game, with Fallon acting as Bob Eubanks and asking them to recall stories from their childhood, including the one where Chris tricked Scott into wetting his pants…

Jim Lange, host of The Dating Game, died on Tuesday, Feb. 25 of a heart attack at the age of 81. Lange’s wife, Nancy Fleming, confirmed the news, adding that he died in his California home.
Lange hosted The Dating Game for 20 years, from the show’s inception in 1965 to 1985. After his successful run on The Dating Game, Lange moved on to host Hollywood Connection and The Newlywed Game, among other television contests. During his years at The Dating Game, Lange crossed paths with many celebrity contestants, including Michael Jackson and Arnold Schwarzenegger, something he said was one of the highlights of his television career.
“The best memories [from The Dating Game] are working with the wonderful people who were on the show. Over the years we had, I guess, almost every celebrity who was single, from Michael Jackson to Burt Reynolds to Tom Selleck. They all came through the show, even Groucho Marx. So...

The syndicated daytime series created by Judge Judy Sheindlin has found its second exec producer. Maureen FitzPatrick will transition from her current gig as Evp Programming and Development at CBS Television Distribution to Hot Bench, the syndicated court show set to debut in the fall. She joins Randy Douthit in the Ep role, having worked on other Cbstd productions including Judge Judy, Entertainment Tonight and The Arsenio Hall Show. Hot Bench, which is cleared in 75% of the country, features a panel of three judges (Judge Patricia Dimango and attorneys Tanya Acker and Larry Bakman) hearing court cases, arguing the merits of the case among themselves and rendering a verdict. (The term “hot bench” is used to describe a court where the judge or judges frequently interrupt lawyers’ presentations with questions, often leading to lively exchanges.) FitzPatrick’s other daytime TV exec producer credits include Living it Up! With Ali & Jack,...

Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart sat down with Buzzfeed to talk about their careers, their friendship, and they even played something akin to The Newlywed Game.
But perhaps the most powerful part of the interview came when Sir Ian was asked about coming out, which he did more than 25 years ago, long before it was common or accepted. He did so in response to Section 28, which he notes wasn’t all that different from the “promotion of homosexuality” laws today in Russia. He notes that while he’d always been openly gay on London, saying it aloud changed everything. “Anyone in public life who comes out, comes out primarily for themselves, and their life is immediately improved. That’s what happened to me. The world [became] a slightly better place.”
The entire bit is worth checking out at Buzzfeed.

With "Fast & Furious 6" hitting theaters this weekend and a release date for a seventh "Fast" film already announced (July 11, 2014, for the record), Paul Walker's days of racing cars are far from over. As undercover agent Brian O'Conner, Walker hit the ground running — uh, speeding — back in 2001 with the first film in the hit franchise. In the latest installment, the full crew (including Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez) is back at it again, putting the pedal to the metal for yet another rush of adrenaline.
While "The Fast and the Furious" proved to be his breakout role 12 years ago, Walker also notably starred in films like "Pleasantville" (1998), "She's All That" (1999) and "Varsity Blues" (1999). Before he successfully hit the big screen, though, the blond, blue-eyed actor was just entering his teens when he appeared on the television game show "I'm Telling!"

George Takei, best known for his portrayal of Mr. Sulu in the acclaimed television and film series Star Trek, has more than 40 feature films and hundreds of television guest-starring roles to his credit. Takei began his career in Hollywood in the late 1950s, at a time when Asian faces were rarely seen on television and movie screens. His first role was providing voiceover for several characters in the English dub of Japanese monster films such as Godzilla Raids Again and Rodan, followed by an appearance in the Emmy award winning television series Playhouse 90. Takei subsequently appeared alongside such actors as Richard Burton in Ice Palace, Jeffrey Hunter in Hell to Eternity, Alec Guinness in A Majority of One, James Caan in Red Line 7000 and Cary Grant in Walk Don’t Run. He played Captain Nim, an Arvn Lldb officer alongside John Wayne’s character in the 1968 Vietnam War era film,...

GSN has fallen in love with Carnie Wilson. Kelly Goode, Gsn senior vice president for original programming and development, gushed about CW, saying, "Carnie is incredibly funny and earthy. ... She's a personality the viewers have fallen in love with. And she's a hit on The Newlywed Game.

George Takei and husband Brad Altman are to be featured as the first gay couple on a forthcoming episode of The Newlywed Game.
