Filmed from August 2007 to March 2008, starting from a nonexistent budget and involving gradual expenses supported by the director, the cast and the crew members. The director engaged in guerrilla style filming, always on-location and with a minimum crew.
In the first minute of the film, Dani paraphrases a quote from a Vladimir Nabokov interview ("The good, the admirable reader identifies himself not with the boy or the girl in the book, but with the mind that conceived") by addressing Ada: "Honey, the true reader never identifies with the main character, but with the mind that conceived it"
