Originally Aake Kalliala was going to play the role of Tarmo, brother of the Grump, but he got injured about week before the second part of filming was scheduled to start in Germany and therefor Kari Väänänen took over the role and the affected scenes already filmed in Finland had to be filmed again.
In the car bought from Germany there seems to be something in the down-right-hand-corner of the windshield looking much like the Finnish tax sticker (ajoneuvovero) of the 1990s
Ville Tiihonen replaces Jani Volanen as Pekka, Tiina Lymi replaces Elina Knihtilä as Katri and Silu Seppälä replaces Sulevi Peltola as Kolehmainen.
