Yggdrasil on this movie is the main super-computer of the Digital World, but originally Yggdrasil is from Norse myth: the tree of life, and the terminals versandi (present), urd (past) and skuld (future). Originally they are goddesses who protect the three terminals (like the saga of Ah My Goddess!)
