Jane and Katherine Lee terrorize the Blacks on grandpappy's plantation, then sneak a dog into church and put a pair of dice into the collection box in this antiquated comedy.
I suppose at the time this would have been thought funny, but nowadays it looks like two spoiled brats scaring Black people and annoying White adults. There's a subplot, if it deserves that term, of a Black preacher whose speech is rendered into malapropisms in broken English, just the sort of thing that no one who had ever met a Black person would have thought funny.
It might have amused some audiences at the time, of course, but nowadays it is just racist, unfunny nonsense.
