This Fireman Sam movie certainly outshines previous movies: bit better than Great Fire and hurricane ones, and more popular than Alien Alert and the Hollywood one (Sam was temporarily dismissed from fire service).
I don't get the many votes for rating on 1/10 (just more than 10/10) and no user reviews made. Maybe seems too much a superhero movie with little firefighting, or it's movie with Norman Price in the name rather than Fireman Sam. As for superhero movies, pretty much a ripoff or some references: like Norman says "I'm your friendly neighbourhood Norman-Man" (Spider-Man), and way Flying Man suit works is similar to Iron Man.
Quite a bit of trivia like introduces Sergeant Rose Ravani and the villains Professor Polonium and her sidekick Crumpton: they're somewhat comical and dimwitted (like Home Alone villains: Harry and Marv) compared to Buck Douglas and Flex Dexter.
Denise Van Outen voicing Professor Polonium at least she's more bitter and fame-seeking than her bumbling sidekick in lab coat, wanting to be a trillionaire.
I could've expected Norman and James get credit and awarded for their superhero bravery (under superhero names Norman-Man and sidekick Atomic Boy). Some hilarious moments of Norman like can't fit in his large red (with yellow lining) underpants, and James mentions hole in them
"Norman-Man senses detected no suspicious activity" - James: They never do. Haha
Apart from Norman and James, other heroes being Fireman Sam and PC Malcolm Williams do own detective work over Flying Man, the two villains, some super batteries Polonium stole from Joe Sparkes, and the emergencies made deliberately, first fire on fisherman Charlie's boat, then the horrific speedy runaway train which nearly crashed at station and killed the passengers and driver Gareth. As with not lot of Fireman Sam compared to PC Malcolm, James, Norman and the villains, not much with other characters like Elvis, the girls (Sarah, Mandy and Hannah), Arnold and Ellie, etc.
It may be not all perfect yet classic Fireman Sam movie (even not about the title character)
