This show is for a younger crowd and definitely a little cheesy. But it is well made and endearing. For laying on the couch with a migraine, it has been a lovely, mindless binge watch. I think it's sweet and the actors do a nice job.

This show is a cheesy teen comedy with a silly storyline. I thought it would be along the lines of Mean Girls but it was aimed at a little younger audience then I was thinking when I started the show. However, it was cute and it doesn't take itself too seriously. It almost reminded me of those Disney channel or Nickelodeon teen movies they used to make that were actually kinda cute like "Susie Q", "Descendants", or "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" with a little more mature content (a couple references to sex, condoms, and some profanity). Teen girls that have just grown out of Disney Channel would probably enjoy this most.
The beginning seemed like any other teen film around high school, prom & being an outcast and I liked it. The character in the middle episodes was truly annoying & I nearly stopped. But, the end... the end is where the heart is and that was worth it. I didn't think I'd end up crying but I totally did. It's a good reminder of what's important in this world.
I enjoyed the aesthetic of the movie and the teen vibe was on point, however, the plot of the story is really quite annoying and even upsetting as it goes on.
Lana's character goes from scared wall flower to rancid witch to... everyone's friend? Except that last part happens in one episode, and only in the last quarter. She did so many incredibly insufferable things to everyone around her, but the part where she's supposed to become likable again is incredibly rushed and there's no satisfaction or real closure. A majority of the show is her turning into a really awful friend and person and then the last episode pretty much wants us to forget all that, or to at least be all 'poor her'. If this was made in the days of TV and weekly episodes, it might have felt better, but on Netflix where they know people will binge... it was just not a good ending, or the ending was good, but the character 'development' was super pushed onto the audience instead of allowing us to get to like the main character again by showing us she deserved it.
As a person, there are so many things she did that I would have never been able to forgive, but somehow her best friend does (I guess?). There were a lot of points where I had to turn the show off and take a break, either from second hand embarrassment for how ridiculously shallow and callous she was being or from very real anger at how she treated everyone around her.
The acting was good, the outfits were AMAZING, but the storyline could have used an episode or 2 more. Or even less mega witch time and more 'I'm learning from my mistakes and making amends' would have brought this up to a 9 or 10. I'm not even sure about my 8 star rating, it may end up being a 7 after I finish this review.
Watch it for the aesthetic and actors, not for whatever the development was supposed to be teaching us (it's ok to be super horrible to everyone who likes or loves you as long as you give a 5 minute speech at prom). I mean, Mean Girls killed this concept, Boo, B!tch dropped it on the floor halfway through. Disappointed, for sure.

They should have named this show "CRINGE, B*tch'
Plot holes galore, not funny in the slightest and the acronyms were beyond annoying. The characters were not relatable and so vapid. I was hoping they'd all get crushed by a moose!
I feel bad for Lana Condor for having to be swept up in this garbage. Do yourself a favour and watch anything else but this!

It doesn't have the same level of sophistication as Never Have I Ever. But it's not bad, it's a sweet show, so far (episode 3).
It's enjoyable, but it's lacking the depth of some other teen based shows. This doesn't make it bad, just different, as an adult I enjoy a range of shows including many geared towards teens. This is lighter fare comparatively speaking, but still enjoyable.

I really enjoyed this, not sure how people could rate it quite do badly. It's exactly what you think it would be with a lot of tropes and the 'twist' was a bit obvious from the start but I knew exactly what I was gonna get and it delivered on that.

This show turned out to be really good after the first 5 or 6 episodes. I'm glad I stuck it out. Before those, it was maybe ok. I really enjoyed the twist. After that Is when I started to enjoy it a lot more even though I really hated the mean girl change in the lead actress.

I'm a 50 year old man. Not quite the target demo for this show. I nearly turned it off after the first 20 minutes, but I was surprised when I realized I'd made it through four episodes. This show isn't going to win any awards, but when it's over, you'll be glad you stuck with it. The cast is good enough, I don't care that most them are well into their 20s and playing teenagers, and plot holes don't matter. Just have fun watching it!

Not sure who this nonsense is aimed at. Language and some themes for adults. Acting, dialogue and plots for tweens.
I thought it might get better as it developed. Nope:

Yeah there some cringe moments, but I liked storyline and some characters. Def better than First Kill. Not sure why people hate this show. Easy to watch. Teen oriented tho.
If you're looking for something to watch that's sweet, cheesy, fun and the good kind of cringe, then this will tick some boxes. I love the quirky and emotional performances by the two main actresses! What I wasn't expecting about this show however, was for it to turn into a dark drama. I consider it overall to be a very honest look at how social media and social hierarchies can effect mental health and relationships, especially within youth. I'm glad I watched this. If you are looking for something that's only light-hearted all the way through, then this may not be the show for you. Otherwise, I do recommend.

I really wanted this to be a fun campy show but it was just bad. I was so bored the characters are all super mediocre and it's just not good. Unlikable cringey boring characters with so little plot like I got wine drunk and still didn't enjoy it..... Hire better writers! Also horrible representation of Gen Z :0.

Ignore the crazy person saying it's pushing medication. Mentioning Wellbutrin isn't indoctrinating kids you weirdo lmfao. It's a fun, comfortable show. It's funny and the acting is fine. Some corny moments but it feels purposeful.
So where do I start? YES! I HAVE WATCHED ALL EPISODES. I absolutely don't understand how someone in their right mind would give this show more than 4 stars?!
I was avoiding this show on Netflix, but since I had nothing else to do I decided to click play, and oh boy do I regret it. It feels like the teenage drama tv show was trying to be something, which itself didn't know what exactly. I kinda feel insulted as this show ticks off all the wrong kind of boxes. Clichè and Cringy elements are the plot, literally. Loser trying to be Famous? Check. Loser girl has crush on famous boy? Check. Loser girl has a bestie? Check. Loser girl ditches bestie? Check. Prom? Check. The only unique thing about this show is the dead/almost dead girl, but again if the only aspect that tried to keep the show afloat, was a dead girl, well it wouldn't survive. Ugh. Lana Condor, sorry but this show will not live up to To All The Boys!
