Mickey Haller has a poor track record when it comes to romance on The Lincoln Lawyer.
When we were first introduced to the defense lawyer, we quickly discovered that he had two ex-wives, both of whom he was still on excellent terms with, including one who was still his legal aide.
So, while he’s been a little unlucky in love, he and his exes are still close, which says something about him and how his relationships end.
(Lara Solanki/Netflix)
While some of the series, which just finished its third season, has revolved around Mickey’s unresolved feelings for wife number one (and mother to his daughter Hayley) Maggie McPherson, the two ultimately pressed pause on their relationship for good.
And that was for the betterment of both Mickey and the series.

For fans of The Diplomat, it might be hard to picture anyone other than actor Keri Russell as Kate Wyler. But for creator Debora Cahn it was initially the opposite. She couldn’t see Russell playing a newly minted UK ambassador as she’s thrown into the world of international politics. Russell, for her part, wasn’t so sure about joining the cast either. What changed their minds, ahead.
Keri Russell wasn’t the obvious choice to play Kate Wyler
Cahn wasn’t convinced Russell was the right actor to play Kate on The Diplomat. As she told Variety, she pictured Russell’s award-winning turn as Elizabeth in The Americans. She couldn’t see how she could portray frazzled yet smart Kate, who almost exclusively wore the same pantsuit.

These days, actors often move between daytime, primetime, and streaming on a regular basis. Most recently, stars from The Young and the Restless, Days of Our Lives, and General Hospital popped up in law-and-order-type dramas.
A Person of Interest
Y&r’s Christopher Cousins (Dr. Alan Laurent) is someone who has a slew of primetime credits to go along with his daytime stints on As the World Turns, One Life to Live, and, currently, Y&r. Over the years, He’s appeared on shows like The O.C., The Vampire Diaries, Criminal Minds, The Resident, and Supernatural.
On Oct. 15, he guest starred on ABC’s High Potential. He played John Ashford, the father of a woman whose child was missing. He was also one of the main suspects. Cousins’ character was super shady and kept you guessing as to whether he was the episode’s big bad.

During the era of network television, shows used to have a shelf-life of at least 10 seasons. Some TV series that were made before the Ott boom continue to enjoy the freedom to adapt and improve over the course of many years, but the same can’t be said about made-for-ott shows, especially the ones on Netflix. Yes, “guilty pleasure content” like Emily in Paris and Elite has benefited from the hate-watch syndrome. However, a lot of really good shows have been unceremoniously axed by the streaming platform before they could find their audience. The one cancellation that hurt viewers the most was Mindhunter. Now, ever since its termination, fans have been clamoring for David Fincher, Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany, Anna Torv, and the rest of the team to come together for at least one more season. Like the monkey’s paw curling effect, they did return to Netflix, but just via different projects.

Allison Janney is stepping into Kate Wyler’s (Keri Russell) world in The Diplomat Season 2. For Debora Cahn, the creator, writer, and executive producer of the Netflix original series, the addition of the award-winning actor “stressed” her out. Why she spent weeks in a “full-on immobilized panic,” ahead.
Janney plays the U.S. vice president in ‘The Diplomat’ Season 2
After being mentioned only by name in season 1, Kerri Russel’s Kate Wyler finally comes face to face with Janney’s U.S. Vice President Grace Penn in season 2. The trailer for the new season showed the two exchanging a tense glance—but no words—as they arrive at a big event in the upcoming season.
Fans might remember Penn as the woman some want Kate to replace in light of an impending scandal. As for whether Janney’s character will be a friend or foe, the official synopsis doesn’t give much away.

Neve Campbell was once a series regular on Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer, but saw her role diminished in season three of the Netflix hit.
Now, we’re breaking down why that is, and if she could be back for season four.
Season three is based on the book “The Gods of Guilt” in The Lincoln Lawyer universe.

The Ted Humphrey-created, and David E. Kelley executive-produced series “The Lincoln Lawyer” finally returns for season 3. Adapted from Michael Connelly’s series of books about the titular Lincoln Lawyer, Mickey Haller, the show is a ratings hit on Netflix precisely because it is both an old-school throwback to network TV legal dramas, with an added sheen afforded to Netflix shows. It almost emulates the “sunny blue-skies era” of the USA Network, which made “Suits” get a gigantic second wind when it dropped on Netflix.
Most importantly after the success of “Bosch” on Prime Video and its spinoff on the sister channel Freevee, Netflix wanted to hop on the Connelly bandwagon. While “The Lincoln Lawyer” isn’t as good as “Bosch,” it has a consistency in terms of story and vibe and perfectly dependable filmmaking that allows it to be a streamable experience, even as the show fumbled majorly in the second season.

While watching the Netflix legal drama The Lincoln Lawyer, a few questions may cross your mind: Is this smooth-talking, taco-eating lawyer Mickey Haller () for real? And if so, is he available?
Alas, we can’t quite help with that: Mickey Haller is indeed a fictional character, created by author Michael Connelly in the popular novels that inspired the Netflix series. But, as it turns out, Connelly borrowed the idea of a lawyer working out of the back of his car from a real-life person: David Ogden, a Los Angeles attorney who passed away in 2020.
While Ogden served as the initial inspiration for Mickey Haller, he was just the start. Connelly also drew from the career of Dan Daly, a Florida-based lawyer...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3.] The following post contains discussions of suicide. Things finally seemed to be looking up for Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) when everything came crashing down—and set up a potential Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 we need to see. In the Season 3 finale (now streaming on Netflix), investigator Bishop (Holt McCallany) took the stand and revealed that DEA Agent DeMarco (Michael Irby) killed Gloria Dayton (Fiona Rene); she’d planted a gun in drug trafficker Hector Moya’s (Arturo Del Puerto) room on his orders and had been subpoenaed. After his testimony, Bishop shocked everyone in the courtroom by revealing he had another gun (the judge had the bailiff take his primary weapon) and shooting himself, dying by suicide. Mickey’s client Julian La Cosse (Devon Graye) was free—and got a nice settlement. Then, as the season ended, Mickey was looking forward to a vacation when he was...

There were many characters in The Lincoln Lawyer who couldn’t be classified right or wrong, and ex-LAPD Neil Bishop was one of them. The man definitely had a conscience, but circumstances forced him to do something, to side with certain notorious elements of society that set him down the wrong path.
Spoiler Alert
Bishop met DEA agent James De Marco around 10 years back when the latter approached him out of nowhere and offered him a deal. Bishop wanted to do good, but things didn’t turn out the way he would have liked, and because of that, he didn’t have a very good reputation in his own department. At that time, Bishop was in charge of a murder case that happened on Montgomery Avenue. De Marco came to meet with respect to that case, and he asked him to not go after the perpetrators and let the case remain unsolved.

You know there’s a reason why the finale of The Lincoln Lawyer season 3 is called “The Gods of Guilt.” I mean, except for the fact that it is the title of Michael Connelly’s book on which the season is based. The term was first used by Mickey Haller’s father, who considered the jurors the ‘gods of guilt’ because they sit on the high table and decide who is guilty and who is not. But in Mickey’s case, it was different. Mickey’s ‘gods of guilt’ were all those people whom he believed had lost their lives because of him. Throughout the season, he was burdened by their deaths and was trying to redeem himself by getting justice for them. Mickey believed that Gloria Dayton died because he made a deal with her to give up Hector Moya to the Da’s office, though that wasn’t the case.

Guilt seems to be the theme of The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3. When Mickey Haller was shaken by the death of his client Gloria Dayton, aka Glory Days, something happened with Andrea too, during the course of a trial that left her extremely stressed out. Mickey blamed himself for Gloria’s death because he was the one who had asked her to snitch on the mafia boss. Mickey knew that Hector Moya had had something to do with Gloria’s death, but there were many things that had happened behind his back about which he had no clue. So, let’s recap all the important events of The Lincoln Lawyer season 3 to see [Spoiler Alert] how Mickey finds Gloria’s killer.
What did Mickey find out about Hector Moya?
We saw in the previous season of The Lincoln Lawyer that Glory Days had been killed and a man named Julian La Cosse had been charged for her murder.

Things weren’t always so messy for Mickey (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo). This is evident in the first 11 minutes of The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3, which you can check out above.
In a flashback set 15 years earlier, Mickey hits the surf to start his day. He’s blissfully married to Maggie (Neve Campbell), drives a humble red Volkswagen, and holds onto big dreams, like one day owning that classic blue Lincoln convertible. Later, he gets his client acquitted on a technicality before a disgruntled cop issues a foreboding warning that “somebody’s gonna end up dead” because of his courtroom antics.
That brings us to the present day, with Mickey navigating a case that feels all too personal, in the new episodes premiering Oct. 17. His friend and former client, Glory Days (Fiona Rene), has been murdered, and his new client, Julian La Cosse (Devon Graye), is accused of killing her.

It isn’t always stunning beach views and finding lost treasure for the cast of Outer Banks. At one point while filming season 4 of the Netflix original series, which premiered on Oct. 10, 2024, star Madelyn Cline found herself getting up close and personal with a rat. What the actor thought when she saw rats on set and how it ended up in her hair, ahead.
Cline didn’t want to be rat ‘food’ filming ‘Outer Banks’ Season 4 scene
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Cline opened up about filming one Outer Banks Season 4 scene with rats. A double whammy for the 26-year-old actor, it had her interacting with a rat in a “tight space,” something she’d previously done—and disliked—on the show.
“The last time they put me in a small, tight space, they had to medicate me,” Cline said. “So I read [the script] and I was like,...

You might want to put down the windows, because it’s getting hot in this ride — and, no, it’s not the LA heat. New episodes of The Lincoln Lawyer are out now.
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo returns as Mickey Haller in the legal drama with 10 new episodes based on The Gods of Guilt, the fifth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series by Michael Connelly. (Showrunners Dailyn Rodriguez and Ted Humphrey agree it may also be Connelly’s best book of that era.)
“This season is very exciting,” Garcia-Rulfo tells Tudum. “We see Mickey struggling with so many things at the same time — with romance, with the wives, with the cases. You never expect what’s going to happen, who’s going to be bad, and who’s going to be guilty.”
Here’s everything you need to know about Season 3.

A new week is here, and it's already mid-October. How did that happen? Halloween is right around the corner, and Netflix is adding a few to their lineup. This week, you can check out a new season of a Netflix Original, a new thriller starring Anna Kendrick, and a new horror movie.
First up this week is season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer! Mickey Haller is back! As is usual, he will be taking on a huge murder case, and while he'll have to use all his tricks to win, it's also going to be an emotional rollercoaster.
We've come to expect nothing less. It also doesn't hurt (or help) that he is taking on a client who is accused of murdering one of his long-time clients. It should be interesting! The new season hits Netflix on Thursday, Oct 17, 2024.
