Somewhat of a sister film to 2009's La Soga with a lot of the same cast and crew producing both films. The director of Forged, William Wedig, post-supervised La Soga and Forged's producer Josh Crook directed La Soga.
Forged was originally set in the desert in the Southwest and featured a biker gang. As the production date neared and the script was reviewed, it was decided to set the film in the cold winter of Scranton, PA and to lost the bikers altogether.
Forged won Best Film at the 2010 HBO New York Latino Film Festival.
Forged won the Outstanding Film Award at the 2010 Providence Latin American Film Festival.
