The original title is "HLM Pussy." HLM comes from Habitation à Loyer Modéré"--large towers that form a low-income housing project typically found in the outskirts of French cities, where Djeneba and Zineb live. The "Pussy" part of the title is exactly what you think it is.

Authentic

Watched this on a flight recently not having heard of it before, I thought it was really really good. The three central characters (girls) put in excellent performances, raw and energetic, it's difficult to pick a stand out as they each were excellent in different ways - Djeneba the tomboy whereas Zineb is somewhat more delicate and tender natured. It touches a lot on themes of living in France in terms of immigration and racism mixed with youth culture and social media. Anyway enough said, make sure to check it out, very much a rough diamond, glad I got to see it and looking forward to similar offerings from French and European cinema. Enjoy.
