Overly predictable, laborious, and bordering on torture. Tell me where the complaint desk is, and how I can get back the two hours of my life wasted on this awful movie. Poorly written, poorly acted, and the music is the music is painful! I still have a few minutes to go, but nothing is going to be able to redeem this disaster of a movie. And I am not a person who is very exacting about my movie choices. Overly predictable, laborious, and bordering on torture. I could not believe this was so bad given the two likeable leads. The beginning gave me hope until I realized it was one of those movies where the love of his life is right in front of him in the form of his bestie. Ok, I said we will see where this goes. Well the train went off the tracks when our male lead decided to show up on his ex-girlfriend's doorstep after 10 years. Nothing was funny or plausible after that and we are supposed to believe that his bestie is along for the ride staying at his parent's house and meets a guy...Do people actually watch this and think it is good? I mean, talk about a trainwreck. It could have had a chance if it was funny but we didn't laugh once.

The film itself is fine; you know what will happen but it is an easy watch (if you can get through it...). The actors do an ok job. However, the annoying background music distracts and is awful. Completely unnecessary and made the movie unwatchable. Why put this awful music over every scene? I don't have anything else to add but I would say there are better films out there. Even having this movie on in the background is annoying because of the awful music. It is terrible. Please stop with the repetitive jingles and music it is ruining movies. Nice settings and they did ok given it was filmed during Covid.

Firstly, this is a fine job considering it was made in the pandemic. Using a real-life couple overcame Covid-bubble regulations, but they should've aged the characters up to match - when they are the same age as me, and I've watched Sarah Smyth for a decade+, I can't accept her as being 20 something here. Also, the plots should have been more sports-based which would be more original than a romance column / helping best friend find love. However, once I'd got past those niggles, I did find this movie funnier than most in the Hallmarkesque genre.

It is just a nice film for the good reflection of family life, for the couple Sarah Smyth - Andrew Dunbar , for something profound familiar and for gentle discover of true love. Short, far to be memorable or out of Hallmark recipe. But just working well.
