During the chase scene, right before the big bridge jump, Sonny and Cletus switch side in the car. The film is reversed.
When Cletus arrested the mayor he said his name was "Clarence T. Necessary".
This movie was dedicated to the memory of Burt Reynolds and Hal Needham
