The main character in this film lusts after the singer of a band called NO FUN. The movie was filmed in British Columbia, partially in Surrey. There is a Surrey band, active since the 1970's, called NO FUN, which is often referred to in the area as "The Beatles Of Surrey", and I am its singer. I can assure you that the movie is in no way based in reality, though I do know the director/writer.
