Some will love this movie but more will hate it. Even though I found it truly unsettling and atmospheric at times, it isn't exactly your run of the mill horror. First of all: it's sloooow, and then on top of that it has a veeery low budget, and then on top of THAT the story meanders and sometimes digresses in dialogue scenes that have nothing to do with it at all. Or have they? There seems to be something of a riddle to the whole thing to me. As if everything is connected...I don't know why I get that feeling. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm making it up for myself, but I feel a strange fascination for something that seems to be dwelling under the saturated surface . As if there is this mystery within a mystery in the movie, a mystery that seems to be sort of suggested by all details put together. As if the movie is hinting at a secret that only a few can discover. And you can only discover it if you put all seemingly disconnected pieces of the puzzle together, every detail, every line of dialogue, even every choice of color. It sounds silly, and this feeling is probably an illusion. Very likely. But anyway - it comes from the movie. The way I see it, it's the atmosphere, the way it's shot, the places, even the low budget, that creates that feeling. Also things like the strong colors, the weird sounds and the weird way the actors speak - and the long striptease scenes ... all help I guess. It was trippy, I felt it. Like a good trip verging on a really bad horrible one. Perhaps it helped that I was in the right mood watching, had the right atmosphere around it, by myself in the night and so on, and didn't have it interrupted by ads and stuff. Anyway - not for everyone, in fact probably not for many. But maybe in the future it'll be a cult around it or something. I don't really believe that but maybe...
