RECOMMENDED.
Warning: this is not everyone cup of coffee, it is RAW and authentic.
The story and characters are simple and shown in multiple times in Tamil cinema but with masala coating. This time they served in without any contamination.
I liked the way they portrayed the brothers feud and mothers affection. The side characters also played very well. The chapter and non linear presentation helped bit on the storytelling. But the lack of entertainment make this movie as dragged and slow one.
Watch it to enjoy the cinema, not as entertainer..

The closing honour is definitely a standing ovation to all the Moms.
The story of a Mom's journey from almost last breath to prye is all the story about. The director's research and presence is all visible all through the scenes. A Mom living in a slum with two kids and their lives artistically, aesthetically presented. Alongside the Director, art director needs an applause. Court proceedings, sketches and response actions are convincingly portrayed to hasten the essence of the scene.
Yea definitely there are short comings, but the emotions overtook them. There are redundant scenes, but at the same time unnecessary songs and drama was cutoff.

"Parole", I didn't expect anything before watching.
Its a story of two brothers, they are in not good terms. As their mother demises will they reunites again.
Parole follows a non-linear narrative, which might seem disjointed in the beginning, but that's how flashes of memories are supposed to be.
Movie is so good at all areas. Acting, songs, background music, story, presentation etc..... Director needs an special applause.
As the movie shown in different characters perspective, our perspective about the movie also changes as its goes on.
The cinematography is so good. Frames are nice.
The action sequences are well choreographed as well as the romance scenes.
Totally its a good movie.
Worth it.

After Pudhupettai, Billa-2, Uriyadi & Rocky, this is the best movie i seen... Grippy screenplay & music.....
Not expected this kind of movie in Tamil....
Underrated movie.....
Both lead actors & mother character did great job.....
That Background music is vera level.....
Violence & revenge at its peak & can be justified for the story....
Surly director much be Quentin Tarantino hardcore fan, can able to see the blood & action...
Never felt bored till the end & that bond between brothers was different from all other movie...
All the best for the director & expecting alot more like movie in future..

Simply splendid! We watched Parole without expectations as a lot of Tamil releases have been disappointing lately. Parole changed the course of things, it was so good
DELICIOUS
-First thing you notice with Parole is the engaging storytelling divided into chapter illustrations that give a snapshot of the events to come. We were introduced to Kovalan through Karikalan's perspective and vice versa.
---The back-and-forth between present and past was executed in a such fluent way that helped us better understand each scene.
-Parole went beyond the sibling rivalry and opened us to the unique world of Kovalan and Karikalan) whose behaviors and outlook on life stemmed from underlying problems
-Parole is a manly movie with unapologetic violence, down-to-earth dialogues, AND one thing Dwarakh Raja did: the lead actors weren't smoking or drinking, a pleasant deviation from the norm
-Acting was effortless among major cast members especially the two brothers
-We usually don't pay attention to the score but it's very hard not to in Parole as the voices were dominant and fueled the rage and passion of the story
BLAND
-The female leads were not memorable; unfortunately. Kalpika Ganesh and Monisha Murali were just there, not adding any vitality to their lines.
