at first sigh, nothing new after Inimă de țigan experience. known and new characters, love story in gloomy society, humor and melodrama. in fact, good occasion to impose two young actors - Diana Dumitrescu - image of Acasă TV and Bogdan Albulescu. not very credible in roles - presence of Dan Condurache is basic obstacle - but nice and almost OK, they are perfect option for this kind of series. beautiful, young, this couple is the good side of an ambiguous universe in which Cosa Nostra, Gypsy tradition, gray business are mixed. exploitation of an idea, it is only new slice of common entertainment. nothing complicated or extraordinary. only a new trip in a fascinating world. and a delicate - brave love story.
its virtue - the chance for Bogdan Albulescu and Diana Dumitrescu to give decent performances. the sin - too many links between Italian Mafia and an ordinary Gypsy community. sure, Dan Condurache is a good option for the role of a godfather, malicious, cruel, ambiguous but his performance remains only a series of stereotypes. in fact, the only error is a too ambitious script . because the tracks are too many, the story more and more confuse, and the only feel after its end is to use the dramatic love story as axis for a long and almost boring improvisation. and, without be a bad choice, it reduced the possibility to give much importance to the life in Gypsy camp. but, the good intentions are always a good excuse. "Regina" is not an exception.
