Don't hesitate to see this charming and beautifully shot short film. It is is very well scripted by Barbara Kerr Condon and Darlene Lofgren, The characters are defined through the simplicity of an impending garden party. We are brought into a world most of us either remember from our pasts or have read about in novels. But the theme of how we judge people and treat them when their differences are apparent to our standards is well developed. The simple and well appointed settings fit the characters and the attention to detail creates a feeling of being a hidden observer. The film is old-fashioned in many ways and that is part of its appeal.
Eric Mofford creates a mood with his lighting that sets the stage for the characters to develop and become a part of each of us.
