I like the story, the mystery, atmosphere is also very nice. This is much better than average Netflix show.
There is great acting here but sometimes it was worse, also I am not fan of some dialogues, I feel they are often "too fast".
Waiting for season 2.

And again we obviously have quite a few reviewers reviewing the series after one or two episodes.
Well, your loss. I binged it in one afternoon, was planning to do some work next to it but really couldn't get to any mentionable progress because... the series was that good, interesting.
All i can say, nice project. For the budget - actually amazing.
The story/plot is really good & has massive potential for a big hit in my eyes. If they commit to a second season that is.
The actors were ok - who really stood out to me is the crazy girl... oh God she pulled me in.. she was amazing, I loved her.
The others were great too for their characters.
Adam's Ignacy Liss (?) has extraordinary potential to rise to a widely recognised actor, he seemed authentic in 98% of the scenes and is easy on the eye. The main actress has that smile I've seen somewhere else, or reminded me of someone... I can't put my finger on it yet, but it will come to me.
So, the plot: Girl wakes up in an institution for amnesiacs after an accident, makes friends there, falls in love & starts to doubt the institution's premise to make them 'well' again and the mind cocktail really starts in the last 2 episodes.
I was astounded. And I'd like a 2nd season please. I can't remember when I said that the last time about a movie/series plot.
Don't listen to the haters, if you get bored ... pull through - you will be rewarded the last 2 episodes.

This serie is not breaking newgrounds but is enjoyable. The first episodes are a bit too slow for my taste but at the end it gets somehow better. If there's a chance for season 2 I'll watch it. Acting is a mixed bag, sometimes good sometimes not so much. The story is at least intriguing and you'll want to know we're it leads to.

Could have been better if the actual story was unravelled a bit earlier...showing it at the last episode was very late.
Episode 3 & 4 feel a bit boring, but I would say not to lose hope. The last 2 episodes are worth the wait.

This show is basically "Lost" in the different settings. Even the ending is what happened in "Lost". There were nice moments here and there. But the weird interactions among characters are tiresome after a while. Adam's idiotic grins make you want to slap him on the head. The main girl, Julia, relied too much on vulnerable looks in every situations is so irritating. The show tried too hard to not reveal anything until the end makes for a frustrating viewing. But kudos for the cinematography.

This show is so much better than the typical Netflix series you see out there today. This series shows its potential and uses it to the max!
The only thing that bothered me from the beginning of the first episode all the way up to the half mark of the second one is the pace at which the plot proceeded (therefore, if you thought this show is boring after the first episode ended, you should reconsider your decision and give it another try, because it just gets better and better as the the plot in the series goes on). It was a little too slow, and therefore it didn't live up to my standards. BUT, now we are heading to the positive arguments of why this show is an absolute masterpiece.
The first thing is how well all the characters played their roles. There is a great balance between them all; everyone has their own purpose. We clearly have a protagonist and an antagonist in this show, all the other characters are just a bonus to make it all feel as authentic as it is.
Furthermore, the plot starts off quite discreet and rather quiet, but as the story builds up it triggers the pace to pick up, too. With this being said, the show offers you a tense build up and a climax which will have you stuck to your screen until the series finishes.
Moreover, the plot twists it offers are just beyond phenomenal! It left me astounded and open-mouthed several times. If that doesn't ring a bell and signalise how good it must be, I don't know what does.
The feeling this show triggers is also ineffable. You have this peculiar feeling that some characters are a little shallow, but in reality what would you expect after sustaining either a tolerable amnesia or even a severe one? Not a chance.
Last but not least, I love the setting of this series. It just gives you this vibe of nostalgia, maybe that's just because the clinic is located in the vicinity of a forest and a lake.
Summary: This show deserves a score of a solid 10/10. Can't wait for season 2!

Good production value, beautiful faces left and right, inconsistent but overall okay performance all around. That being said...
It starts slow but with quite a good build up of thriller and mystery, with some good horror scenes as well. But that's all there is to the end. Let me tell you a little bit about storytelling: give a series of mystery that makes the viewers guessing and theorizing, and after a while (in a six episode season, maybe the end of episode 2) reveal some kind of answer that makes the viewers go, "Damn, I was wrong!" or "I knew it!" Either way is good. Then deliver some more mystery and story that seem to support the first reveal, then after a while (perhaps episode 4,) give another, preferably bigger, reveal that turns everything upside down. It's called a twist. More and more mystery, then reveal everything in the season finale. But of course, the last reveal doesn't mean the story is concluded, as there's new mystery up ahead that makes the viewers eager to see the next season.
Instead what we have here is simply a stack of mysteries compounded one on top of the others with ZERO reveal, right until the end. I'm dead serious, you know absolutely nothing about the story you just watched for six episodes and where it's going by the end of the season.
Watch Inside Number 9 season 2 episode 2, The 12 Days of Christine. It's also a stack of mysteries compounded one on top of the others. BUT, in the final 90 seconds or so, they reveal everything that makes every single mystery, scene, shot, dialogue and even prop meaningful. It works because it's a 30 minute episode and that big reveal in the end. A 6 episode season with no reveal at any given point? Sorry, it doesn't work.

Since I got Netflix I prefer to search to watch everything but Hollywood as I find other countries make quite awesome series and movies, even better than Hollywood. So, I gave our sister Slavic country chance few times, and of course, when I read the info about these series, I couldn't miss it and I wasn't disappointed. Binged it two days and expecting season 2, as soon as possible, please!
Atmosphere in series is very mystic, dream-like, and there is something oddly nostalgic about it. It has a lot of story lines and visions but they all connect in the end, and none of it is there just "for effect", it all has a purpose. Characters are really good, acting is on point, and I love the twist at the end of season 1. I don't agree with review that wrote it was "predictable", you could never see it coming, but it slowly creeps up on you near the ending. Quite well, I am impressed!

A good mystery is started and then nothing is really shown or revealed. Just a few things here and there to keep it strange and hoping that the audience will keep watching.
I ended up starting to skip ahead part way through the 2nd episode and nothing was happening. By the end of the series I've skipped ahead so much and frequently and still can't figure out why they have loads of technology everywhere and can't manage a good story to piece it all together.
Frustrating to watch, even at 4x speed. I pity the fool who views the entire series and tries to figure out what he watched.

I'm looking forward to season 2 (with fingers crossed). This is a great show: constantly wrong-footing you; always making you want to know more, to discover what is going on. Is it some virtual reality hell? Is it a dream, or maybe it's aliens experimenting on drugged-up abductees? It's aimed at a young adult audience but heck, if only some adult shows were this grown-up!

To be honest, I do not get the high praise. Perhaps it's ok if you just not follow the narrative at all somehow. To me it made no sense at all.
Girl wakes up not remembering anything. Then there is a voice telling her "story". Is it coming from the clock? Or is it the voice, only we can hear, and not her? If the former - why is she so ready to believe that? Why is she not fazed out by anything in her room (which seems quite large compared to what you'd expect in such a facility)? I would freak out, at least from the blood on my toothbrush in these circumstances.
Even if we assume, that she does remember something about the facility, what comes next contradicts that: she is clearly unfamiliar with the layout at all. She is weary of the food. She does not know the names of other teenagers, who definitely know her (or at least of her) and are behaving relatively familiar with her. She does not know about the doctor, but yet knows her name somehow.
Even if we assume, that it's part of her condition - why is not mentioned to her outright by that voice? If it is for her, I mean. Because patient should know that. So that the patient would freak out a bit less. Although, in such a case, there would be a handler, that would be, well, handling her.
So, no. All of this does not make sense. Premise is interesting, but the way it is being delivered is sloppy at best. Camera work and general atmosphere is ok (I guess), but the narrative is crumbling from the get-go. Actor is also inconsistent: sometimes it feels natural, sometimes - overacting.

One of the better shows I have recently seen! Very clever plot. As you start watching the viewer starts with the same knowledge as the protagonist and discovers more facts throughout the show, in parallel. Nicely done! Good acting! Can't wait for season 2!

After 1 episode I started watching it in 150% speed. It gooing so slooooow.
I get the need to build tension and certain air of wearyness, but even I watch it faster is not progressing - Longer sceenes are used to fill the time of rather simple scenario.
4 x 30 mins would describe same story, but more satisfactory.
And guess what? It is not the end.
Oficial request - please cancel season 02.

Open Your Eyes
Good acting (Karolina was the best)
except Karolina and the doctor all characters were just ok and not well developed , Adam and Karolina was ok
after episode 1 it becomes slow but from the end of the episode 4 it becomes very intresting
5 and 6 th episodes were masterpiece
plot twists were incredible at the end
brilliant concept
atmosphere and bgm were good
but low security , not building up for the end for ep 4 and Karolina moving on so easily was kind of illogical
overall 7.7/10.

The story is fantastic
the plot is unpredictable , i was shocked really shocked
If i can rate it more than 10 i will , netflix isn't making a second season unless the reviews on this serie are good so everyone who watched this serie and liked it please come and rate it cause I'm not going to accept another cancelation , they already cancelled " anne with an e " , " I'm not okay with this " and " the society " .
Back to the review , as i said very incredible ; very well made with good plot twistS that left me mind blown , i fell in love with the characters and felt attached to them so i can't be left hanging .
Whenever i looked for series i always searched for american and british ones but never really gave a chance to foreign series , this serie made me change my mind completely .
Really netflix thank you so much for producing this masterpiece to us but please please pleaaase don't cancel it !
I still don't understand why people aren't rating this a solid 10/10 , like seriously tho? I've seen some garbage movies and series getting better reviews than this .
Idk if I'm just easy to please or you are a tough crowd .
Seriously though it's a masterpiece and it'll never disappoint you so if you're thinking whether to watch it or not DO IT !

As this Polish series opens a teenaged girl wakes up in the 'Second Chance' institution for amnesiacs. A message informs her of some details such as the fact that she has been their four days, her parents died in an accident and that she knows that she is named after her aunt but doesn't remember her name, at least initially. When her door unlocks the leaves her room and starts meeting the other people there. Most of the other young people there have been there much longer than her. As her treatment proceeds she starts having strange hallucinations of a red haired girl and hears somebody calling the name 'Karolina'... there is nobody there by that name. She, along with another patient decide to escape... things only get more mysterious.
I rather enjoyed this series which, as things stand, is a single six part series. The ending certainly suggests more might be planned. The main setting creates a nice creepy atmosphere; the sense of unease is increased as things we think we know are questioned. The cast is solid, most obviously Maria Wawreniuk, who plays our protagonist and is rarely off screen. It is confusing at times; but in a good way as assumptions are proved wrong. While this isn't a special effects heavy series, those that there are, are pretty good. Overall an intriguing little series; I hope we get a second season.
These comments are based on watching the series in Polish with English subtitles.

Nothing out of extraordinary in the beginning but the suspenful it gets better until the 5th episode (the best in my opinion).
