Seoul, July 25 (Ians) K-pop superband BTS member Jungkook’s new single ‘Seven’ featuring Latto (formerly known as Mulatto) has debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart.
It marks the 25-year-old’s first time to rule the chart as a soloist.
He is the second BTS member with a Hot 100 leader following his groupmate Jimin, who reigned the chart after his song ‘Like Crazy’ launched at No.1 back in April, reports aceshowbiz.com.
Jungkook’s previous high on the Billboard Hot 100 was when Charlie Puth’s ‘Left and Right’ featuring him hit No. 22 in July 2022. His own song ‘Stay Alive’ also spent a week on the list No. 95 in February last year.
The ‘Euphoria’ singer has posted six other Hot 100 leaders as part of BTS.

In a lovely victory for songs with absolutely zero ties to racially charged violence or drunken controversies, Jung Kook of BTS has secured his first solo No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. “Seven,” which features rapper Latto, officially debuted in the top slot on Monday, July 24th, shutting out recent offerings from Jason Aldean and Morgan Wallen.
With this latest accolade, Jung Kook joins bandmate Jimin as a BTS member with a solo chart-topping hit. BTS together previously hit No. 1 with “Dynamite,” “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat),” “Life Goes On,” “Butter,” “Permission To Dance,” and “My Universe.”
“Seven,” our recent Song of the Week co-produced and co-written by Andrew Watt, officially kicks off Jung Kook’s solo era — but there’s no word yet on when Army can expect a full album from the vocalist, dancer, and youngest member of BTS. The number seven is important to the band, which is composed of seven members. While details are currently slim on how the the song will sound, a press release described the solo track as a “fun summer song.” “Seven” is set to drop on July 14th.
Shortly after the announcement, Jungkook went live on Weverse to share his excitement about the forthcoming release, saying, “It’s quite great, and I’m so excited.” In the livestream, he also confirmed that this single is just the beginning — according to translations from @BTStranslation_ on Twitter, he shared, “I just want to let you know that I am working on my album, too.”

He’s the king, he’s the boss: Suga of BTS kicked off the “Agust D Tour” in style at the Ubs Arena in New York on April 26th. The first member of the South Korean group to undertake a solo tour, Suga performed cuts from his mixtapes as alter-ego Agust D, along with songs from BTS’s discography and tracks from his new full-length record, D-day (read the review here).
While Suga is hitting the US and Asia solo, he has plenty of nods to his bandmates onstage, like his guitar, which features messages and notes from the other six members of BTS. Meanwhile, in addition to his explosive and emotive solo tracks, the setlist for the concert includes a medley of tracks originally recorded and performed with fellow members of the BTS rap line, Rm and j-hope, the latter of whom recently began his time in the South Korean military.

It’s been revealed that BTS have achieved the most No 1 singles in the last decade in the US.
Billboard revealed their highest charting artists on 1 November, which showed BTS in the top spot with six No 1s in the last decade.
The South Korean pop band topped fellow pop giants including Taylor Swift, Drake and Ariana Grande, who had four No 1s apiece.
Despite the data being taken from the last ten years, strikingly the band secured all their No 1s in the last two years, with the first in 2020, with their single “Savage Love”.
The song was a collaborative effort with Jason Derulo, who also featured on the song.
All other No 1s were achieved throughout 2020 and 2021, including: “Dynamite”, “Life Goes On”, “Butter”, “Permission To Dance” and “My Universe” in collaboration with Coldplay.

Benny Blanco has enlisted Snoop Dogg, and BTS members Jin, Jimin, V and Jung Kook for his new single “Bad Decisions.” The single will appear on the producer’s upcoming third album, which is expected later this year.
Despite the title implying unwelcome choices, the song is a euphoric, flirty dance track, with the artists declaring they want to be with the one they desire “all of the time” — and as Snoop explains on his verse, “it’s bad meaning bad, like bad meaning good.”

BTS’ new compilation album Proof debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart (dated June 25), garnering the pop group its sixth chart-topper. The retrospective — consisting mostly of previously released material — bows with 314,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending June 16, according to Luminate. The overwhelmingly majority of that unit figure was driven by CD album sales.
The anthology was released June 10, four days before the group announced an indefinite “hiatus” to focus on solo ventures. The seven-member South Korean act was formed in 2010 and made its U.S. Billboard chart debut in 2013. BTS has tallied 15 entries on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
Also in the new top 10, Carrie Underwood notches her 10th consecutive top 10 album on the Billboard 200 — the entirety of her charting efforts — as her new studio release Denim & Rhinestones launches in the region.

BTS might be on the cusp of a huge Grammys windfall. It didn’t quite happen in 2021 despite debuting at number-one last summer with their first fully English-language single, “Dynamite.” But a few more number-one hits since then have proved they’re not a passing fad. And their second English single, “Butter,” could break them into the Record of the Year race where they couldn’t before.

After a big year for pop music, with massive hits like “Blinding Lights” and “Rockstar,” not to mention big album eras from the likes of Pop Smoke, Taylor Swift, and Lil Baby, who’s likely to take home trophies at the Billboard Music Awards on May 23? BTS have released a holiday remix of “Dynamite,” their biggest hit song to date.
The new version comes with a Yuletide music video, in which the group members (minus Suga) dance and sing around a Christmas tree, posing and taking photos of each other with selfie sticks.
BTS released their album Be earlier this fall, and the release skyrocketed to the top of the Rolling Stone Top 200 Albums chart. At just 28 minutes long, the album amassed more than 136,000 sales and 27.2 million streams, and its eight songs combined earned close to 242,000 downloads.

After BTS scored a long-awaited Number One single in the US with the glittery disco-pop cut “Dynamite,” you might expect the Korean group to keep the party going and double down on their chart-topping formula. But instead of an album decked with dancefloor stompers, the septet use their latest release Be to offer something more intimate, comforting and honest, but no less uplifting.
From its initial teases, Be seemed likely to be the BTS LP with the most creative involvement yet from the group’s members — Rm, Jin, Suga, J-Hope,...

Following their American Music Awards performance, BTS returned to late night to showcase their latest single “Life Goes On” during The Late Late Show With James Corden.
Using some nifty special effects, the band captured what it’s like to be stuck inside day after day during the Covid-19 pandemic. The seven members of the group dawdled around and sang in their pajamas inside of a seemingly endless hallway of living rooms. Although dark days were apparent — Rm rapped under an umbrella during an indoor thunderstorm — BTS injected some hope...

It was all The Weeknd all the time at the 2020 American Music Awards, but when the final prize of the night was announced, it was a familiar favorite who took top honors: Taylor Swift claimed Artist of the Year for a record-extending sixth time. She also won Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist and Favorite Music Video (“Cardigan”). She couldn’t be at the event in person, but she had a good reason: in her video thank-yous she explained that she was in the studio re-recording all her old music. Check out the complete list of Ama winners here.

Fresh off the release of their latest music video for "Life Goes On," BTS took over the American Music Awards stage for some fun! The boys began their performance rocking matching black-and-white ensembles, soothing the crowd's soul with a beautiful rendition of their latest hit. Then, the septet broke out the neon waistcoats and flare pants to get us moving and shaking along to "Dynamite." We love a group that knows how to rock pastels and keep that coordination on lock!
The K-pop band nabbed two nominations, including the nod for best social artist (which they've already won two years in a row) and favorite pop group. Unsurprisingly, they won the latter! Check out photos from their dynamic performance ahead.

BTS brought comfort to a hectic year with their performance of “Life Goes On” at the 2020 American Music Awards.
This was the first time the group performed their Be lead single life, and they brought a soothing presence to the AMAs stage with their new ballad. Through the magic of greenscreen, they performed in a massive arena complete with fireworks.
At first, the seven-piece group ditched their usual elaborate choreography routines and stood onstage in matching black-and-white outfits and sang directly to the audience both in the theatre and watching at home.

The American Music Awards show is solidifying its lineup for this year’s broadcast, adding Megan Thee Stallion, Shawn Mendes, Lil Baby and Bad Bunny to the list of artists set to perform Nov. 22.
BTS and Dua Lipa were previously announced as performers for the ABC show, which will be hosted by Taraji P. Henson.
Lil Baby’s song was named as part of the performance reveal — it’s “Emotionally Scarred,” which will be getting its TV debut — but the network was mum on what Mendes will be up to, other than that it’s a “world premiere performance (that) will give fans the unexpected from the moment he takes the stage.” The AMAs also teased that Megan Thee Stallion will be doing “an unrevealed track,” while notifying fans that Bad Bunny will be teaming up with reggaeton star Jhay Cortez.
