When I started watching I already expected the anime to be a bit ridiculous - it's supposed to be a parody after all. So I tried not to think too much of it and just enjoy the over-the-top humor. Well, at first it was funny, but it soon became clear that this anime is extremely offensive. That a*hole Maria kept on abusing Kanako, both mentally and physically, using the fact that he looked like a girl to mess with her head. Hs maid usually joined him as well. Basic bullying, but for some reason, I feel like the show tried to portray Maria as a good person underneath those layers of pure evil. Say what? And it also bothered me that Maria kept on insisting he didn't like to crossdress when in truth it couldn't be more obvious that he enjoyed being a girl. No one was forcing him, and after learning a reason as to why he was doing it, it was clear he could've stopped if he truly hated it so much. But I guess that would hurt his male pride?
So, to sum this up; it's about a cross-dressing boy bullying a lesbian who's high on hormones (like so many other teenagers, but since her attention is directed at girls, not boys it's somehow "wrong"). I feel like it's giving a seriously bad message, the worst part the fact that the bullies aren't portrayed as doing anything wrong, but like the victim deserved it. Not okay.
The only good thing about this was art. Sometimes it was funny too, but only when the humor wasn't drawn from abusing the MC.
