After his father's funeral, a man takes his girlfriend back to his childhood home to spend some time there before it's sold with a party involving them and his old friends, but when they start to suspect something dark from his past has returned to seek revenge forces them to stop it from happening.
This was a fairly fun if somewhat flawed genre effort. Among the best features here is how this one sets about going for a series of supernatural shenanigans to make what's happening quite surprising and shocking. The main idea of trying to uncover the truth about what happened at the house that gets unlocked while the group is in the middle of their party but aren't aware of the possession that's starting up to ensure the revenge is complete makes the film come off quite fun once these incidents start to take place. From haunting whispers in their ear, hallucinations involving figures coming to life to attack them, and the eventual realization that the possession has taken place makes everything else that happens in the house come together into a strong series of frantic encounters as the supernatural deaths provide some great cheesy, gory deaths alongside the frantic chasing with the impressive make-up on the possessed. This all gives the film some fine positives to hold it up overall while there are some big issues with this one holding it back. One of the main factors with this one is the absolutely dire pacing that makes everything feel so dull and boring waiting for something to happen. While the group arrives at the house fairly early and manages to instigate the party soon after, the amount of time spent on this material makes for a dull time waiting on these fairly uninteresting rich people wandering around this large mansion waiting for something to happen to them. The usual outsider who doesn't fit in with his established group of friends, the rich barely able to contain their contempt for her being of a lower class than she is, and the seemingly obvious secrets that arrive which are fairly obvious to guess what's going on yet never initiate any kind of panic in anyone. Hardly any of this is interesting and just makes for an overlong start getting this one going. Once this gets established, the film highlights yet another irritating and common trope with the way this takes place in a realm of untrustworthy friends trying to uncover a dark secret. The way it works is the trope of her not being able to get a hold of the group of friends around her when it's revealed that they've been involved in covertly drugging her to throw the idea of her prognosis into question so that the hauntings she keeps trying to bring up have a sense of doubt so that they can keep the horrifying event in their past a secret which only makes everything that happens to her come from a source of disbelieving significant other who treats them like a nervous wreck. It doesn't make them endearing at all, and combined together make for the factors that bring this one together.
Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language, and drug use.

This Never Happened has all the ingredients for a typical horror movie: attractive actors, booze, Paraphernalia, giant mansion and a ghost story. I want to point out the very divergent cast of the movie. They all have a unique look and fresh faces. Emily interpreted by Maria Jose De La Cruz is the perfect hybrid between an LA girl and a Mexico City Chcik, Ale played by Juana Serrano a hot bi*ch, Mia played by Vanessa Burciaga is awkward, corny and cute. And finally the boys: Mateo played by Javier Dulzaides is a bi polar rich kid; while Nico is so easy to hate, love and pity. Melora by Andrea is so cringy she's funny and relatable and the witch played by Fernanda is so cringey satisfying to watch. While the actors are attractive they have a natural beauty. They aren't plastic therefore they are relatable. Back to the story, TNH is the perfect whitexican gone wrong and wild. The movie is slow at first only focusing on the main characters but it picks up after about 25 minutes. Full of jump scares, good kills and an interesting plot twist. Can't give it a 10 because there are some editing errors in key moments. Other than that, the movie is a is pretty entertaining and enjoyable.

It shocks me that Tubi keeps taking huge strides to improving their quality. This Never Happened is an example of that. The cinematography of this movie is great! The acting performances have also improved a lot. I will admit the English of some characters is off but I think Tubi is doing a great job of including diversity into their roster. At the end of the day there are rich kids in Mexico who speak English even amongst them selves. It's actually a joke trending on social media "whitexicans" Mexicans who can speak perfect Spanish but chose to speak English to show off. The make up is fantastic. The kills are nice and clean. This Never Happened is definitely an original movie. It's low budget yea... we know and I think they allocated the budget perfectly.

The movie was very well executed and good. I don't like scary movies, I am more of comedy and Roman e but I really enjoyed it. I think the producers did a great job with the casting. This scenes look very realistic, and you can see that they put a lot of work into it. Love the actors like Emily, Mia and specially Nico play by Gonzalo. My favorite character was Nico it had the entire room laughing, with us crazy because the guys is not the nicest person. The humor and how it was delivered was on pint. Looking forward to the next movie .I definitely recommend the movie it was a nice story , production, scenery and some comedy.
If you like witty horror films then "This Never Happened" is a psychological horror film that plays with the concept of reality and perception. The movie builds tension effectively, keeping viewers guessing about what is real and what is imagined. The performances are strong, particularly from the lead actors who convey a sense of paranoia and dread. The film's eerie atmosphere and clever storytelling make it a compelling watch for fans of psychological horror. However, some viewers may find the ambiguity of the plot frustrating, as it leaves many questions unanswered. Overall, "This Never Happened" is a thought-provoking and unsettling addition to the horror genre.

"Never Happened" is a chilling horror movie that delivers on suspense and atmosphere. With its clever twists and turns, it keeps viewers on the edge of their seats throughout. The eerie cinematography and haunting soundtrack contribute to the overall sense of unease, making it a must-watch for horror enthusiasts. However, some viewers may find certain scenes to be particularly intense or disturbing, so it's not for the faint of heart. Overall, "Never Happened" is a gripping and memorable addition to the horror genre. Me and my girlfriend love this movie and enjoyed the acting!! Classic Friday night on the couch !!

Throwback to the 80s horror flicks, but with an updated modern vibe. New faces I had not seen before giving great on-screen performances. Every character with a unique backstory that was summed up, kept you interested in what was coming up next and even had you routing for the villains. What I liked most was that I could almost guess what was going to happen and then it took a turn. My favorite line has to be the last because I swear it's exactly what I was thinking #motherF!! Looking forward to seeing more productions from the studio and the actors. Loving that Tubi's giving this kind of film a platform.

This Never Happened kept me on edge through the entire movie. The scene where the spirit appeared gave me goosebumps, which is necessary for horror movies to be good. The story developed well, with the best finish tied to the plot. The last scene was unexpected. The boy's friendship felt very real. The music was great and added to the atmosphere. I also applaud the director, producers, and casting directors who chose primarily Hispanic actors and actresses to perform in English. In today's ultra-sensitive environment, it is essential to have daring professionals to keep breaking barriers. Congratulations.

Perfect for a movie night! Just finished it! Highly recommend it! Don't watch it alone hahaha. Honestly a lot of new characters I've never seen but really enjoyed the plot, great mix of feelings and emotions. It's not for my 4 year old to watch but definitely fun and exciting and scary. Super smooth flow through the film. I feel like the start was a tad bit slow for my liking but when it picks up, it picks up! The final part was my favorite! I don't want to spoil anything here in this review so hopefully I can see others reviews later next week to see what they thought! Very well done job, I'm a fan of some of the characters now! THIS NEVER HAPPENED is definitely worth the watch!

This Never Happened is an absolute spooky treat for those who usually steer clear of scary movies. Gonzalo Zulueta's portrayal of Nico is the secret sauce here - his humor and charm lighten up the movie in all the right ways. I didn't even feel the need to hide under my blanket once! It's the perfect movie to gather your squad, order some grub, dim the lights, and dive into. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! Plus, I loved how all the characters were Latinos, adding a refreshing twist to the typical horror movie cast. And let me tell you, the plot twist at the end? Jaw-dropping doesn't even begin to describe it!
I really appreciate that Tubi is stepping up their game with their originals. I think the stories are getting unique as they grow. Clearly they are different and may seem a bit weird but they are trying. While I will admit that there are some flaws in the editing and the fact that the actors are speaking English when they speak Spanish; the quality of the acting in Tubi movies is definitely improving. Nico is probably the funniest character and makes the movie come alive. I didn't get the blender scene but it was something new I've never seen. The actor who plays Nico seems to get comedy and hit the jokes right on the spot. The lead actress also did a great job.

I really enjoyed watching This Never Happened. Lets state the obvious. It is a low budget horror film. Its free. Its Tubi. That being said, I was very pleased with it over all. Everything has a great flow and it is an easy watch. There are plenty of jump scare scenes. There is a nice balance between Goar, comedy and jump scares. I saw one of the actor's, Gonzalo Zulueta, interviews and he said it was filmed in 16 days. I was a bit thrown off by the fact that the characters are native to Mexico yet they all speak english amongst each other. At the end of the day, it is a movie. My favorite part or aspect of the movie is the make up.

Wow! Honestly for a low budget film, the movie was really well made. I found the plot very unique and easy to follow which kept me engaged the entire time. There was a good twist that I was NOT expecting, the beginning was a bit slow to develop but once all the main characters unite, the different personalities come to together perfectly. My favorite character was Nico, he provided comic relief throughout the movie that allowed the audience to lighten their mood rather than remain tense during the entire horror film. All I can say for sure is that this movie took the phrase "This Never Happened" to a whole other level, definitely worth watching!!

This movie was very surprising because I experienced everything , it was scary it was funny it was an amazing movie . I totally recommend watching it because the story is very interesting and surprising so I was in shock all the time. I'm very picky with movies and this one is definitely one of the best ones I've saw. "It never happened " is that kind of movie that will keep you awake and aware the whole time because the trama is going to surprise you! You would never imagine what the truth was and what was going on with the whole situation. 10:10 super recommended I would watch it twice because it was definitely an amazing movie.

This Never Happened is one of Tubi's many original films but I would say one of their greatest horror/thrillers. Over the years Tubi has been improving their quality. Ted Campbell is known for his lilfetime movies and I would say this is definitely an upgrade. There is a very Diverse cast which I like. It isn't your typical stupid crazy hot girl main star with a brainless man toy. This cast adds depth to their characters and bring them to life and make them believable. To me all characters but 1 did a great job. They are attractive in their own way but I appreciate Tubi is hiring talent with wel.... TALENT and not just 10/10 beauty with zero skills. I think the fact that the english has an accent actually makes things scarier and more entertaining. There are a couple of editing flaws for sure but.... Tubi is free. I think all kills are realistic and what about that blender scene! I would have liked to see Nico's death make up more up close. I didn't get why Nico spoke perfect english while everyone else except Emily had an accent. Is there a plot twist? Are Nico and Emily twins? I think they left this open for a sequal. Easy, Cringy and fun to Watch.
