Roxanne Guinoo, Angelica Panganiban and Valerie Concepcion were the earlier names to be linked with the production. When Katrina Halili signed up with Octo Arts, she was immediately added to the movie. But ABS-CBN's Star Magic which manages Guinoo, Panganiban and another prospective Diether Ocampo pulled out their talents upon knowing that Katrina, a contract star of the rival TV network GMA7, will have the biggest part in the movie. Valerie, also an ABS-CBN contract star, remained in the production since she is not under the management of Star Magic.
Director Jose Javier Reyes initially wanted Katrina Halili, Roxanne Guinoo, and Angelica Panganiban in the lead roles.
Diana Zubiri and Iya Villania-Arellano were the immediate choice to replace Angelica Panganiban and Roxanne Guinoo. But negotiation for Iya bugged down.
