Following the aimless lives of a set of teenagers, the film was completely directionless itself. None of the characters was particularly sympathetic, especially the girl who got pregnant and tried to shift the blame onto another younger, naive kid.
There was a dichotomy between the home lives of the youngsters and what they seemed able to spend. None of them lived in luxurious accommodation yet they were able to booze, take drugs, go to bars and discos.
The filmed teased in its homoeroticism yet didn't deliver. The bodies on show were good ones but their dangling in front of the viewer didn't go anywhere.
At just over eighty minutes, I staggered on to the end. It seemed like the writers and director had run out of steam too and could no longer fit more boring angst in.
